Meredith's pov:
"Fuck me.. Addison! I told you.. if you want to know if Derek's dating someone new.. ask derek! Not me" I walk down the hallway at school as she follows me, asking question after question about derek.Addison and him dated for like 5 seconds and now she's basically obsessed with him. I walk into the break room. "Derek" I smile, walking over to him. He looks at me. "Help" I whisper.
He looks at Addison. He smiles at her. She walks away quickly. We both chuckle. "She's so fucking annoying" I say.
"I think she saw me making out with... a girl yesterday" he says. "A girl who's name you do not remember?" I raise my brow. "..yes" he says. I giggle, hitting him lightly.
"You going home?" I ask. "I was gonna go out for drinks" he says. "You drove me here" I groan. "So-" he says. "Its raining" I say.
"You wanna come with?" He asks. I look at the guys he's going with. Mark and jackson are wrestling like two fourteen year olds.
I'm not friends with any guys.. just derek. He's my best friend. I don't really have any friends other than him. He's the complete opposite.. everybody loves him.
I look at him. "You don't have to talk to them.. just me" he says. "Fine" I say. He smiles. We get in his car and he drives us to the pub where we meet up with mark and jackson.
We're all underage but Mark, jackson and derek look kinda older than they are so they can buy alcohol.
We walk in and sit at the table with them, me sitting next to derek on the couch by the wall. They both look at me.
"I thought we were here to pick up girls" Mark says. "You are here to pick up girls.. we are here to drink" Derek says. "I'm not.. I'm here because I didn't want to walk home in the rain" I grin. Derek chuckles.
"What is your guys deal?" Jackson asks. "What?" Derek says. "Are you two.. what? Friends with benefits?" He asks. "What? No" I say. "Are you related?" Mark asks. "No" we both chuckle.
"And you've never slept together?" Jackson asks. We shake our heads. Jackson goes to the bar. "I don't get it" Mark says. "What?" Derek chuckles.
"I've never seen you even talk to a girl who's panties you weren't trying to get into" he says. "Well I'm special" I grin, taking a sip of my drink jackson brings over.
I spit it back out. "That's straight vodka" I put it down. Its half a glass of vodka. They laugh. "She's a lightweight" Derek says. "I am not" I say. He chuckles softly. I grin, picking up the glass. He raises his brow. I down the entire thing.
I put it down. He laughs as I wince from the taste. I pick up his drink, downing it too to get rid of the taste. He takes it. "Meredith that was half a pint of beer" he puts it down. "I do not like vodka" i say. He chuckles.
Jackson chuckles, standing up. "Water for her" Derek says. He walks to the bar. "Why did you do that?" He chuckles, brushing my hair out of my face. "I'm not a lightweight" I pout. "Mm" he chuckles softly.
They're all talking. I rest my head on Derek's shoulder, wrapping my arms around his waist. "Drunk yet?" He chuckles softly. "No" I mumble quietly, feeling dizzy. He chuckles softly, stroking my hair with his hand.
They both look at us. "You're really not screwing?" Mark raises his brow. I giggle drunkenly. "we've known eachother since we were literally born.. my mom and her mom are best friends" Derek says. "Ohhh" they both say.
"So you just have to.. be nice to her for your mom?" Jackson raises his brow. My heart beat gets faster as I wait for his answer, scared that he feels that way. "She's my best friend" he says. I smile, snuggling into him as he wraps his arm around my shoulder.
