I wake up in the morning. I chuckle as I see mia next to me, between me and lucas with her arms wrapped around my neck sleeping. I look at the clock.
I sit up slowly, picking her up. "Honey" I whisper. She mumbles something incoherent, pulling her arms away. "Good morning sweetheart" I say.
She smiles. "Morning mommy" she cuddles Into me. "Der" I shake him gently. "No" he whines. I chuckle. "Get up.. we need to take lucas to the pediatrician" I say. He sighs, sitting up slowly.
"Can you take mia? I'll get little man" I say. He picks up mia. "morning daddy" she mumbles. "Good morning princess.. what do you want to wear today?" He carries her to their room.
"Monkey" I gently stroke his back. "Mhm" he says. I pick him up gently. "Whewe awe we going?" He cuddles Into me. "Doctors" I say. I take him to their room and we get them ready.
"Please don't fall back asleep" I sit them both on the couch. "Okay" they both say. I smile as they cuddle into eachother tiredly.
I go to mine and Derek's room. I pull off my clothes. "Hey my- oh.. hey sexy" he smirks, scanning my naked body. I giggle. I pull on my panties and a bra. "My car isn't working" he says. "What? Why?" I ask.
"I'm not sure.. I need to take it to the shop" he sighs. "Well we can take my car" I say. "Okay" he says. He walks behind me, kissing my neck. I smile. "Don't worry.. I'm sure he's fine" he says. "I know" I sigh.
We get ready and get our stuff together. We go to the couch. I sigh as I see lucas asleep. "I twied to keep him awake" Mia says. "Its okay" I pick him up.
"Wake up baby" I grin, tickling his stomach. He opens his eyes. He giggles. I put him down. We hold their hands and we walk down to my car. We get in and I drive us to the doctors.
"So what seems to be the problem?" The doctor asks. "Lucas has just been really tired lately.. he fell asleep the other day at daycare, in the car.. basically everytime he's sat down" I say.
"I'm not tiwed" lucas says. I stroke his hair gently. He's sat on my lap and mia's sat on Derek's next to me. "You wanna sit him up here?" He points at the exam table. I sit him down.
He asks him a few questions and takes a few small tests. "Okay you can go back to mommy" he puts him on the floor. He walks over to me. I put him on my lap.
"It seems to me that he's just not getting sleep at night" he says. I furrow my brows. "He goes to sleep at seven every night" Derek says.
"Are you sure he's actually sleeping.. all night?" He asks. I look at derek. "Baby, do you sleep at night?" I look down at him. He nods.
"You promise? All night?" I ask. He looks down. I frown. "Why not?" I ask. He shrugs. "I can't" he says. I pick him up. He stands on my lap, looking at me as I hold him still.
"M-mimi too loud" he says. "Huh?" I ask. "Snowing" he says. "She snores?" I ask. He nods. "And it keeps you up?" I ask. He nods. "Why didnt you say anything?" Derek asks.
"Becawse I like staying in the same wroom as mimi and I don't wanna move out" he crosses his arms. "Lucas" I sigh.
"Does it wake you up from sleeping.. or can you just not fall asleep when there's noise?" The doctor asks. "Fall asweep" he says. "Well, there's an easy fix" he says.
"Weally?" Lucas asks. He sits back on my lap. I wrap my arms loosely around his small waist. "So.. you can either turn mia onto her side as she sleeps.. it'll help with the snoring.. or just make sure lucas falls asleep before mia goes to bed" he says.
"If none of that works then I actually have this.." he passes me a small headband. "It goes over his ears and he won't be able to hear anything as he falls asleep" he says.
"It has paw patwol on it!" Lucas says, looking at the design on it. I smile. We thank the doctor and leave.
"Baby, you know you shouldn't lie to us.. and you can tell us anything, you know?" I put my hands on his cheeks as he sits on the couch next to mia. "Sowwy mommy" he says.
"We'd never separate you and mia.. you're twins" I say. "Okay" he says. "But it was very sweet of you to protect her" I smile.
"Awe you mad at me?" He asks. "No, of course we aren't" Derek says. He smiles. I kiss his cheek.
"And you.." i glare at mia. She frowns. "You've been keeping your brother up with your snoring" I poke her stomach playfully. "I'm sowwy" She says. I giggle.
"I'm just teasing.. I used to do the same thing to daddy when we had sleepovers" I grin. She giggles. "And I'm a light sleeper" Derek glares at me. I giggle.
"You tired now Monkey?" I ask. He shakes his head. "Good.. what do you wanna do?" I ask. "Can we go pawk?" He asks enthusiastically.
"Anything you want.. you were so well behaved in the doctors" I kiss his nose. "Can I come too?" Mia asks. "No, me, mommy and lucas are going to the park but you have to stay here" Derek says sarcastically.
She frowns, looking down. I hit him lightly. He grins. "Hes just teasing you baby" I giggle. We hold the twins hands and they stand up. We get up and grab our stuff.
"Can we go on your morowbike dada?" Mia jumps up and down excitedly. "No" he chuckles. "Why?" She whines. He picks her up, holding her on his hip. I pick up lucas "You're too little" he says.
She whines. "We could always get a pillion seat" he looks at me. "You're joking?.. Tell me you're joking" I say in disbelief.
"Why not?" He asks. "They could get hurt!" I say. "I'd never let them get hurt" he kisses mia's cheek.
"Yeah! I want motowbike!" Mia says excitedly. "No.. end of" I say. They sigh. "Unbelievable" I say to derek. We glare at eachother. We walk to the park.
