AS ALL PLANS WENT, THEIR current one wasn't as bad as Lucy liked to think. Pietro, Wanda and Clint would be fighting together as they always did, while Scott would ride on Steve's shield as an ant-sized person. She, Sam and James would be looking for the quinjet in storage, of course, and would hopefully be further away from any altercations.

So yes, they had a pretty feasible plan, but, she didn't exactly prefer Stevie running out into the open practically all on his own. He was tough though, and she knew he could handle himself. Besides, their enemies weren't really enemies at all, and both had no intent to kill. Well, maybe apart from the man in the cat suit, but she wasn't sure if he would be there to begin with.

Lucy placed Alpine on the floor, who looked up at her with round eyes. She gave her a nod, and Alpine darted into the safety of the airport's dark garages. James watched her go forlornly, but the pair knew it was the best for her.

Steve gave them a nod as she, James and Sam traveled up through the airport tunnels, glass windows on either side of them. Lucy frowned at the disadvantage the windows brought, but there was nothing she could do about it, especially when the tunnel seemed to never end. They climbed the stairs in utter silence, Sam awkwardly looking between them while James kept his eyes focused in front of him.

Lucy let her meager thoughts fade as she focused on the task they'd been given. It wasn't a mission, she reminded herself, as she clambered upwards. When they reached the second floor, James paused, his eyes flicking to her. She stopped too and Sam let out an 'oof' as he nearly collided into her.

"Hey man, why'd you stop?" Sam huffed in exasperation.

James rolled his eyes at him before nodding his head further down the hall. He pointed to himself, then Sam, then the window to the far left of them. Lucy raised an eyebrow, looking incredulous at his suggestion. He really wanted them to split up? Let her run first? She shook her head at him and his eyelid twitched.

She crossed her arms over her chest, and waved a hand pointedly at the window, where the airport remained desolate and empty of any personnel. She cocked her head to the side challengingly, and James groaned as he ran a hand through his hair.

He sighed, shoulders loosening as he threw his hands into the air. He turned, then started towards the glass window he'd pointed to earlier. Lucy followed behind him, uncrossing her arms as she smiled triumphantly.
