Evelyn's POV

"Seattle is in a state of terror. Police are baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances. Theories range from a vicious new gang to a wildly active serial killer,"

The news reporter announced as Bella and Edward entered the room.

"It's getting worse. We're going to have to do something," said Carlisle, switching off the channel. "Hey! I was watching it!" I protested, snatching away the remote and switching it on again.

I was sitting on the sofa between Carlisle and Jasper.

"It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting," Emmett remarked. "Quite a few more. And they're undisciplined, conspicuous," Jasper added.

"It's newborns," Edward and I said simultaneously we looked at each other in a knowing look. "What, like new vampires?" Bella asked surprised, and I nodded.

"In the first few months after the change. That's when we're at our most uncontrollable. Vicious. Insane with thirst," Jasper the expert in New Borns explained.

"Something to look forward to," Emmett chimed in.

"No one's trained these newborns, but this isn't random. Someone's creating an army," I said, holding my head. 'What a pain in the ass.'

"Well, now we're definitely going to Seattle!" declared Emmett, standing up. Jasper took the remote and changed the channel. "An army of vampires?" Bella asked.

"And they've been created to fight someone," I said, sighing. "We're the only clan even close to Seattle," Edward said in no brainer.

"Regardless of why they were made, if we don't put a stop to them, the Volturi will," declared Carlisle, and I scoffed.

"Nah... they won't! I wouldn't be surprised if they were behind it either!" I said, and Emmett tried to choke me playfully.

"If Aro heard that, he'll come after your neck," He warned, and I chuckled.

"I'm surprised they've let it go on this long," said Carlisle. "Maybe they're behind it. In Italy, I read Aro's mind."

"He wants me and Alice to join him, but he knows we'll never choose him as long as our family's still alive,"  Edward explained.

"A vampire army could solve that for him," Jasper replied scornfully.

"Come on Bella, Eve, I'll take you home. It's almost dinner time," said Edward, and we went home.

"Hey! Did you eat dinner yet?" I asked Charlie, who was gloomily at the table. "No, I haven't," he replied, sighing.

"I'll make something, just wait for a while," I said putting on a apron going to the kitchen, and he nodded.

"So...? What's the new case about?" I inquired, my curiosity piqued. Whatever it was seemed to be weighing heavily on my father, Chief Swan, and I needed to know what was going on.

"This kid, Riley Biers, disappeared over a year ago, and his poor parents have been papering
Seattle with these things ever since," Charlie said, showing the picture of a boy.

"You think they should just give up?" Bella asked. "Well, I wouldn't if it were you. Not ever!" Charlie said firmly.

"Okay, stop it! I don't want you to talk nonsense and spoil my mood," I interjected.

Both of them laughed, and after a while, I made spaghetti for dinner.

Time Skip~~

The next day, I ascended to the majestic heights of the forest to bless the land. Jacob and Bella insisted on joining, but I waved them off.
