Evelyn's POV

Time Skip~~

Seth changed places with Jacob, and the vampire army was closing in. "They're here, I can feel it!" I exclaimed, touching the ground.

With the Quileutes behind the trees, we were preparing for a surprise attack. Paul and Jared started to growl and bark at each other.

"Shush! Shhhh!" I said, trying to quiet them down. However, they continued barking and grumbling at me. "Sorry! I still don't speak wolf," I deadpanned, and Paul glared at me.

Suddenly, he shifted into his human form, and I quickly looked away since he was butt naked.

I couldn't help but look at him with an awkward expression cause he was Rachel's mate and I didn't want to enjoy his body even if he was handsome.

"Jacob's fashionably late. He's quarrelling it out with Bella!" Paul announced, and I let out an exasperated sigh.

"I'll go fetch him back," I declared, hopping onto my trusty broomstick. "Evie, no, wait!" Paul tried to intervene, but I zoomed away before he could finish.

Arriving at the campsite, I spotted Edward and floated down to him.

"What's happening?" I inquired, and he sighed, casting his gaze downward. "Bella and Jacob are having a little lovers' quarrel," He confessed.

"Ah... you dropped the marriage bomb on him, didn't you?" I guessed, and Edward nodded in confirmation. "Where are they?" I asked, scanning the area.

"Evelyn don't go..." Edward began, but I patted him reassuringly. "I'll be fine, don't worry," I assured, making my way towards the embroiled duo.

"Jake, please!" pleaded Bella as they stood by the end of the cliff, and I halted behind a tree, discreetly eavesdropping.

"I'm done! I'm so done!" Jacob erupted. "What can I do?" Bella implored.

"You can't do anything. I can, by going out there and killing something," Jacob retorted dramatically. "No! You're not thinking clearly! Don't do that!" She pleaded.

"Maybe I'll get myself killed and make it simple for you," Jacob declared, and I couldn't help but clutch my chest. 'What about me? Do I not come to your mind at all?'

The supernatural soap opera continued, and I found myself silently speculating it.

"No! Just, Jake, stay..." Bella pleaded, the drama thickened.

"Why? Give me one good reason," Jacob challenged.

"Because I don't wanna lose you," she earnestly declared.

"It's not good enough!" Jacob countered, keeping the suspense alive.

"Because you're too important..." Bella continued, her eyes welling up.
"Still not good enough!" Jacob stood his ground.
