We were quiet as we left Doc Zia's office.
Hindi ko alam kung anong mararamdaman ko...hindi ko nga alam na nakalabas na kami sa sobrang daming naiisip, para akong nakalutang habang paalis doon kanina.
As Doc Zia broke that news to us...we fell into silence.
Natigil ang pag-iyak niya at tumitig lamang sakin, ako naman...hindi pa buong napoproseso ang lahat ng nalaman. I was shaking and crying hard earlier when I heard what she said, but what she said last stops me.
No way...
"Y-you can ask other Obgyne Doctor...m-maybe, I'm wrong...and I hope I am. Hindi ko rin gusto ang lumabas sa mga test ko. Your sister might disown me as her friend, at handa ako... basta ay malaman niyong nagkamali ako." Nanginginig ang boses na sabi niya.
I felt like my knees wobbled. Kahit anong isip ko na baka nga nagkamali siya... something in me believe her, she's a longtime Obgyne Doctor, ngayon pa ba siya magkakamali? At sa akin pa talaga na malapit sa kanya?
My parents and Mad's were quiet as we walked towards them.
My father immediately noticed our silence as he come close to me.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
I smiled at him... I act like there's nothing wrong even if my insides were crumbling...breaking.
"P-pa..." My voice crook a bit, "You will have a granddaughters." I smiled hurting.
Hindi pinansin ang kakaibang kilos ko ay ngumiti si Papa.
"Really?! And...wait...what?!" Maya maya ay nanlaki ang mga mata niya.
Narinig ko ang pagsinghap ni Mama at ng mga in-laws ko sa likod.
"Granddaughters?!" Mommy Mindy quoted. "As in two?! Twins?!"
Sa sobrang tuwa nila ay agad silang tumawag sa isang restaurant ni Mad at pinaclose iyon para daw magcelebrate doon.
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe this! Wala kaming lahing kambal! My first grandchild is a twin! I'm so excited!" That was Mommy Mindy's lament as she can't move on from that news.
"Oh my wife has. She has a twin sister, actually." Tila proud na sabi ni Papa na sa amin nanggaling ang lahing kambal.
Maddeon is quiet as he sat beside me.
The elders are busy chit-chatting about their 'granddaughters'. Little did they know that one of them is weak.
I did not tell my parents about it because Doc Zia give me an advice. She said we can ask others to test my pregnancy if what she said is true...and I hope to, that she's just wrong.
Maddeon on the other hand didn't tell them too, I think he thinks what I thought too...that we should consult different Doctor.
And, I kind of thinking that what if Doc Zia's wrong? At sinabi namin sa parents namin ang sinabi ni Doc...tapos hindi naman pala totoo, baka malungkot sila kesa magcelebrate ng ganito.
I prefer them celebrating than being sad because of maybe false tests.
Our family is so happy that they didn't feel tired. Whole day silang nagkwentuhan sa restaurant ni Mad.
My siblings, including Ate Jazz; who really travel to go here because of the news. Phillie also came and she's just sitting beside her mother.
Paminsang minsan ko siyang nakikitang sumusulyap sa banda namin at kapag naabutan ko na nakatingin ay nag-iiwas. Hinayaan ko na lamang siya, I know her motives.
