Y/N and Rachel looked over a map of Japan, a digital one shared across screens and covered with little red dots.
"Cross-referencing things was pretty easy," His old friend added. "Just overlay a few different maps together and voilà."
There was an immediate concentration of reports within Hosu city and Naruhata, Tokyo. Y/N was familiar with one but not the other.
"Nemuri!" He shouted from his study where this all took place.
"Uh-oh," Rachel whispered. "What happened?"
"Nothing."
Setting his phone on his desk, he put it on speaker while clicking and scrolling through a map of Naruhata.
"She familiar with this place?" Gulo asked, able to see his screen from her apartment.
"To my knowledge... yes." He replied slowly and almost unsure.
"Yeah." Nemuri popped her head out from the hallway, swaying her long hair.
"I need your help with something." The Hero muttered in Japanese and with a focused frown. "A few years back you helped that group of vigilantes, the... I can't remember their names."
"Cruller," She snorted. "Pop Step, and Knuckleduster."
"Interesting group." He again muttered with a raise of his brows. "Maybe I'm wrong, but Naruhata was their turf, right?"
"For a time." She nodded and rounded the desk to see the district on his monitor. "But the only one there now is Knuckleduster."
"And the others?" Y/N asked, curious.
"Well, Skycrawler is mainly in America the last I heard. And Pop Step focused more on school."
"Wait, did she say Skycrawler?" Gulo asked, barely catching the name through all the foreign language.
"She did." Y/N replied in English before switching back to Japanese. "Gulo is here by the way."
"Gulo...?" Nemuri tilted her head with the strange name.
"It means a lot of things depending on the context," Y/N explained. "But it's mostly a nickname. Like saying someone eats a lot."
"Uhhh, you can just call me Rachel, err, Mrs. K." Sophia cleared her throat with an awkward pause.
"Hellooo~," Nemuri replied in singsong greeting with perfect English. "It's good to hear from you again."
"You speak English??"
"I do." The pro-hero chortled.
"Then why did Y/N make me learn all that Japanese?!"
"It would've made a good impression," Y/N said with an even tone. "And it did."
"It was very good." Nemuri added with an audible smile.
"It was mainly my quirk talking, but thanks."
"Oh, really?" Nemuri asked, dropping to her knees and rested her chin on the desk. "What's your quirk?"
"It's actually really similar to Y/N's." Gulo chirped. "I never gave it some—silly little name, but it heightens my senses and awareness through faster brain activity. I can't really turn it off, so I'm kinda just—always thinking. It came in real handy with school and work."
"I know what you mean." The Hero chuckled. "Y/N was at the top of our class because of his."
Y/N suddenly cleared his throat, kindly gaining her attention to which he pointed a finger to the screen.
