"You're getting sloppy, you know."

It wasn't something Rumi said lightly or as a friendly jab. It was a statement, and the fact it came from someone like her added impact.

She spoke her mind even during critical moments or between themselves. He didn't mind the brutal honesty. In this case? He wanted to thank her.

Her words scratched at the back of Y/N's mind even as he slept beside Nemuri. In his restless sleep, he turned to the early morning sky with a frustrated sigh.

Before he knew it, he slipped out of bed, threw on a pair of loose-fitting clothes, and left.

He stood on the sand of the nearby beach, mentally repeating her words over and over again. With each mantra, he grew a conviction that was retired with his status as a hero and vigilante, and he developed a hatred for what he needed to do.

He planned to regain some of his lost edge. It would take time, yes, but it's all he had after he left his former life behind.

With Nemuri and the kids home, he couldn't use the equipment in the basement else they find out. But he remembered what Sophia had told him, that it was only a matter of time before Nemuri found out.

Shaking his head of his thoughts, he scolded himself. He needed to be focused.

Five quirks. Three emitters and two transformations. One quirk was the combination of two. Y/N was confident it was the outcome of a quirk marriage. There was simply no other explanation for such a lethal combination.

One. Energy Manipulation and the unique ability to Skip Time. Y/N recalled a distant memory, two hand-picked individuals to make the perfect weapon.

Time Skip, the ability to create a pocket world of his own and enter and exit as he pleased. Its full details were only known by a handful of people in the world, including himself.

Energy Manipulation. He was essentially a large battery with a limited amount of power before it needed recharging from rest. But it also affected his other quirks, multiplying their outcomes, and increasing his speed, durability, and strength beyond most heroes.

Two. Self Improvement, it offered little bonuses when he first wielded it, but after a mutation, also known as a quirk awakening, he could utilize its full potential.

Three. Flight, once again, was minor but combined with his energy manipulation, it boosted his flight speed and control to near-impossible levels. Once explained by David Shield as breaking a few laws of nature.

Four and five were explained as super strength and super speed. Both transformation quirks that affected his body. Its attributes were minor when he was a child, but at the age of thirty-two, it had grown far beyond what he had initially thought possible.

His physique was at its peak. Masses of muscle remained even after many years of retirement and inactivity; a side effect of both transformation quirks.

Out of the many people who had asked just how he possessed five quirks, he only gave a handful their answers. They were both gifts and a curse, a curse from his former life coming to haunt him.

His goal was to essentially retrain his body without his quirks. True, you couldn't turn off transformation quirks, but if anything, they allowed him to push himself even further. He wouldn't take any chances. If All for One was alive, he needed to be ready.

Rolling his arms, he only felt mild pain and restriction in his right. Then lowering himself with bent knees, he stretched his legs to his satisfaction before taking off in a light jog that slowly escalated into a full sprint.
