There were many things at play at the moment. Seven members of the Shie Hassaikai remained. Their combination of quirks made things complicated and a shield that could protect them against almost anything thrown at them.

Mirko felt a spell of dizziness consume her when she stepped closer. It was a quirk, of course, but whose was a mystery. There was also the fact that they were hidden with another, supposedly someone able to shift the ground to their will.

Any idea she conjured up or moment where she saw herself piercing through the group of villains was met with complications. To make things worse, there was a girl.

Her thrumming heart eventually came to a relaxed jog. She could do nothing more than stalk her enemy as they spoke of an idealistic world or the taint of heroes in today's society. And in all honesty, she wasn't listening all that well. Her only concern was for the girl held close to Overhaul.

"The signal's—a little choppy." A voice came from her earpiece. Static and calm worry were stirred together, making the hero grit her teeth. "Eraserhead and—are—the way, but you'll need to clear up—concrete for Y/N to get a beat on—."

The thought didn't sit well with her, but Mirko knew she needed help. Even if Eraserhead were to erase their quirks, Hawks would come in to snatch the girl up. Even just Y/N could make the opening she needed.

Her thoughts and plans were internalized. As far as they knew, she was alone and without hope.

She paced a wide and circular area. Sharp spikes of concrete littered the area and the ground moved like rapid waters. Coupled with a dizzying quirk made it was impossible to get to the girl without either of them being killed.

Suddenly, to her left and right, the ground closed in. She felt weightless for a moment, relieved of vertigo only for her senses to be scrambled.

She prepared for the worst, only to be snatched away. In her place were two spiked pillars smothering nothing but air.

"About time." She grumbled and dusted her arm off, chasing away a crimson feather.

"You're welcome." Hawks sighed behind a nearby pillar. Eraserhead was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's your homeless friend?" Mirko shook her head and regained her balance. The quirk left her system, making her fingertips tingle and her head spin.

"Homeless friend?" The pro-hero chuckled. "First off, he's not my friend. Second, he's waiting for us to get into position. We'll pinch 'em from both sides."

"And the girl?" Mirko grunted. Her legs flexed in a tremendous bout of acceleration. Spikes of concrete roared in her ears, tracing her without a hint of fatigue.

"Dunno!" Hawks weaved left and right, narrowly avoiding shifting walls and conjured shields. "But you gotta open up the ceiling!"

"Damnit!" Mirko tucked herself away behind a forest of spikes. "Why doesn't Hit just go in from the entrance?!"

"—blocked!" The voice in her ear said. "Corridors—closing! They're trying to trap you!"

"Me? Trapped with them?" Mirko scoffed. "Please..."

"Ready?!" Hawks breathed. His lungs burned from a mixture of exertion and dust.

Mirko kicked off the nearby wall before it turned unstable. The ground shifted yet again, giving the villains the height advantage while they were far below in a firing range.

Mirko closed in, dashing left and right to avoid the dozens of stalagmites erupting from the ground. A few grazed her skin, leaving trails of gray dust.
