There was a clear canvas of stars stretching across the sky, with what little that could be seen when you're in the epicenter of one of the world's megacities.

Tokyo was a bustling city 24/7, with lights streaking up and down the streets and illuminating homes, whether dusk or dawn.

Its citizens were always busy even in the dead of night, men and women rushing to work or trudging home after a long day's labor.

The city had nothing to hide with a bird's eye view; every crack and crevice was essentially revealed.

And with it came the vermin and insects infesting its metal and concrete confines.

Atop one of the tallest buildings in the city stood one man, gazing down upon all its shame and glory.

"Tora-no-mon. Torano-mon."

A voice in his ear tried pronouncing the foreign word, their lips and tongue rolling to try and imitate its original pronunciation; it was feminine and cheerful but also bored.

She was Sophia, AKA Gulo. She was one of the handful of people Y/N considered a friend and close ally and most commonly mistaken as his sidekick, depending on who you asked, she was.

"Toranomon." The man, Y/N, corrected with a spot-on accent.

"See? Now that's something I don't understand, is the R silent?"

Y/N's lips curled into a small smile, and he replied with an honest answer.

"Your guess is as good as mine."

"You've been here for so long though, how do you not know?" The woman asked incredulously.

"I only taught English; your best bet would be to ask a local." Y/N said plainly.

"In Tokyo, are you kidding? Sure, maybe I'll run into a villain and ask." The woman joked.

"It's not too far from the truth." Y/N mused.

"You should be so glad you got out early." Sophia teased; Y/N could hear the faint crinkling of a bag followed by the woman chewing and crunching on a snack.

"I am." Y/N said earnestly.

"I know." she chirped happily, her mouth mildly full.

"You don't think All Might will be mad you're on his home turf, do you?" Sophia asked curiously, trying to kill time.

"I'm the one who told him to rest instead." Y/N replied.

"So caring." Sophia gushed with light-hearted humor before switching to an alert tone. "Oop, get ready. They're on the move."

"Which one?" Y/N asked; he lowered himself with bent knees.

"It looks like..." She hummed before responding. "Green four-door car, one escort, and a tail."
