Dear Diary
I've been sitting at the reception for over 15 minutes now and the only words I've been told asides from "good morning" by the security guard at the gate, have been, "you can have your seat.", not even a decent "Happy New Year" from the long-nosed receptionist who acted like she needed the holiday break so badly—and judging by the detail she's paid her outfit I can tell that she's got after-work plans; probably a date with another long-nosed man and they'll probably get married and fill up the face of the earth with little Pinocchios.
Anyways, I'm grateful that I'm yet to be thrown out of this place. The keyword is "Yet".
Parkwood Media is one of the most popular advertising firms in Africa and just to be recognized by them is flex on its own, not to talk of the fact that I might gain employment here; Ah! My mother's enemies are finished—I say my mother's enemies because I stopped making enemies a long time ago.
"You can go in now". I can hear her say—wait! She's talking to me and I'm writing?! My mother's enemies at work.
