"Don't ever pull that kind of stunt you pulled in there again, Shaniqua."i
"What stunt sir?"
"Don't and STOP acting sleek with me—you know how you manipulated RMD into requiring me to get a change of outfit for you."
"I beg to differ sir—the only thing I told him was that I'd be attending the party and that was only because he asked if I was going to."
"And then you said something about how people who look like you do might not get the walk up to him at a place like mine—I heard you."
"I'm sorry sir, but once again with all due respect, I'll like to beg to differ once more. The conversation I had with RMD was strictly a fan to celebrity one and I assure you that it wouldn't have gotten to that extent if he didn't insist on speaking to me—and ignoring him wouldn't have spoken well about you nor myself sir."
"Again with that manipulative tactic."
"Ah, Modaran!"
"And that damned Yoruba!"
"I'm sorry sir."
"Save your apologies."
"Maybe I should just go home instead—I don't want the clothe anymore."
"Are you trying to have me beg you to accept something you know he already promised to pay for?"
"I'm just trying to avoid first-day conflicts...sir."
"Who's conflicting with you, Shaniqua?"
"I'm sorry sir."
"I can tell that you're going to be a handful young lady—you'll meet me there."
"Is that a threat sir?"
"What?!"
"I'm asking if that's a thread." I pointed at his suit and once again he refused to buy my crap. The guy is so good!
"Aremo will drop me off at my place, take your shopping, and have you brought back for the party by 7."
"Also sir...please don't say my own is too much but, what time will I get home? I won't see the bus once it's 9."
"Again with that ratchet Grammar." He sucked his teeth.
"I'm sorry...sir."
"Aremo will drop you off at your place after the party." That was the last thing he said to me in the car.
Anyway, last last, I'm getting a new dress on New Year's Day; courtesy of my manipulation and of course Richard Mofe Damijo.
