Dear Diary
Bebi, it's beginning to look like I need to take this issue of overthinking seriously.
Can you believe that while I panicked and sent my location to my mum and brothers on WhatsApp, this guy was just being nice? We're closer to my location (and to be honest, I don't think they'll have me anyway, it's just vibes and inshallah at this point), anyway, I watched him give the school kid a thousand naira note as he dropped and the elderly woman a couple of notes as she alighted.
"Life is already hard as it is, why not make it easy and kind if you can?" was his response to my question.
"So, men like you still exist?"
He gave me a look like I'd compared him to Jidenna before saying, "Of course we do."
"And you aren't a ritualist?" I spat out of my lips and it was already too late to pick it up—I swear, I thought he was going to break my head with the length in which he inhaled, but he only ended up bursting out in laughter.
"You'll be the 100th person making that assumption in 4 days." He laughed out loud and I began to wonder what his source of income was for him to go about sharing a thousand Naira notes to the whole of Nigeria. "So...we're here," he said in the most attractive tone I've heard from the opposite sex in a while.
"Yeah, although I think there's no point," I confessed to him nervously as I arranged myself.
"Why would you say that?"
"Well I was supposed to be here like 4-5 hours ago so..." I shrugged and bit my lips, mentally confirming that I wasn't forgetting anything in his car.
"Well, if it's meant to be then it'll be right?"
"Uh...sure," I responded as I got down of the car before he could ask for my number which I suspected was his next move judging, by the way, he began to reach for his phone.
I might admire them, but I still have no intention to be with them.
Eyes on the dream and the price forever; men aren't worth it.
...
I'm now in front of the company gate Bebi, wish me luck.
Bye for now
