Todoroki was excited to introduce Midoriya to his favorite Cafe. They each ordered, Todoroki paying for it, and sat at an outside table.
The conversation was light and focused on learning more about each other. They took turns sharing stories and laughing. Midoriya found out his soulmate was an All Might fan and had a fear of spiders. Todoroki found out Midoriya had an odd fear of heights he'd forget about when fighting and the world's best laugh...at least in the bi-colored hair boy's opinion. It was warm and Todoroki had to admit he was growing more fond of that sunshine smile.
Once they were done with breakfast, Midoriya took his hand and led him outside.
"So my turn, right?" He asked. Todoroki nodded. "Ok, follow me."
The green eyed boy led Todoroki towards a small park. The laughter of children filled the warm morning air.
"Why are we here?" Todoroki wondered.
"It might seem silly, but there is a little forest like thing on the other side of the playground," Midoriya answered. He nervously scratched his cheek. "I...wanted to show you where I used to explore."
The other teen nodded, letting Midoriya lead the way. Soon they were in amongst the cool shadows of the leaves and walking carefully over a log bridge. "Kacchan used to insist we always go this way, but we never made it past here," the green eyed boy explained.
"Why?" Todoroki wondered.
"He fell off of it the first time we tried to cross," Midoriya laughed. "He never wanted to try again. But one day I did...and it's worth it." He led them in further until they reached a clearing....covered in wild flowers. Duel colored eyes scanned the area, awed by the sight.
"What is this place?" He breathed as Midoriya laughed lighty.
"A butterfly garden some of the neighborhood women put in. There's a bench here," he explained as he led Todoroki toward the said bench. They sat in silence, Midoriya grinning as he watched his soulmate watching the slowly moving butterflies in awe. He leaned in to whisper, "They only come out when its quiet."
Todoroki shi Reed at the warm breath against his ear, hoping Midoriya didn't know how he affected him. The peace of this space was welcomed from their chaotic lives. He relished in the warmth of the powerful hero next to him and the gentle breeze moving through the small space. It was like a fairy world - something out of his sister's fantasy books.
"Who all knows of here?" Todoroki asked softly.
Midoriya leaned his head back. "No one comes here anymore," he breathed. "I try to keep it nice just in case though."
Todoroki grinned. "Then can this be our spot?"
"Huh?" The green eyed boy asked, looking at him.
"Our spot...a place we come where it is just the two of us," Todoroki explain, feeling embarrassed. "Unless you don't want to...."
A calloused hand brushed his cheek. "I love the idea," Midoriya assured him. "Sho...may I kiss you? "
Todoroki felt his face heat but nodded, another shiver passing through him as he felt the gentle, chase kiss. He was growing addicted to his soulmate. If only every day could feel like this.
"Peppermint," Midoriya sighed.
"Hmm?" Todoroki was still lost in the tingle of the kiss.
Midoriya smiled. "Your kiss tastes like peppermint. I like it." Todoroki watched as Midoriya blushed from his own answer. It was sweet.
"I am not sure how to describe yours, but I like it very much, " the boy assured his soulmate. They sat in silence again before the wind shifted. Midoriya looked up.
"Was it supposed to rain?" The green eyed boy asked.
"I didn't think so, but let's go grab lunch just in case," Todoroki suggested, wanting to be cautious. Midoriya nodded and they left, both glancing up at the slowly darkening sky. He led Midoriya to his favorite restaurant and got them a table near the window.
No sooner had they sat down then it started pouring rain. Midoriya watched, pouting slightly. "Well there goes my plans for the day."
Todoroki had quietly ordered their food when his maybe boyfriend spoke up. "Oh?"
Midoriya blushed again, "Yeah. I was going to take you one more place that is special to me...but its outside."
Todoroki nodded in understanding. "Perhaps we should call it quits after lunch? We can do it another time," he offered.
Midoriya's pout deepened, but he sighed and nodded. "Okie dokie, Roki," he mumbled, then froze. Green eyes glanced up to find the other teen fighting laughter.
"Did you...really say that?" Todoroki asked. At Midoriya's nod, he couldn't help but start to laugh softly. Sure. Kaminari had said it a time or two, but hearing it from Midoriya's mouth made it all the more entertaining.
It took a moment before soft laughter was coming from both teens and the dark mood was gone. Their date continued as the Katsudon Todoroki had ordered arrived and they began to eat with Midoriya explaining why this new meal was just so good.
