The teens had barley made it back to the dormitory steps when the door exploded outward and their classmates surrounded them.

"Are you ok?"
"Dude what was that?"
"Did you guys really kiss?"
"Roki, my man landing the most eligible bachelor!"
"What happened with Endeavour?"
"Are the rumors true that he hit you?"

Todoroki felt Midoriya tense under him.  The attention was overwhelming.   He felt the need to protect his soulmate.  He sat up a bit more.

"Enough," he said firmly, silencing his classmates.   "We're tired and would like to at least sit down."

"Certainly, " Iida said, stepping forward.  He began shouting orders and clearing them a path.  Midoriya happily started walking.

"Thanks," the green-haired teen whispered.

"Anything for you, " the other teen answered.  "But I told you it wasn't our last interview. "

Midoriya laughed as he reached the couch and set Todoroki down.  The heterochromatic boy was growing ever fonder of that laugh.

The class had gathered in the living room at that point, grinning at the sight of the two boys.

"Can we know what happened?" Uraraka finally asked, stepping forward.

"Yeah, you two made the news!" Kaminari shouted.

Midoriya gave a nervous laugh as he turned to the others.  "Well...I don't really know all the details,  but Endeavour and his sidekicks were trying to stop a group of villains.  I wound up fighting with one...and then the next thing I knew I was knocking him out on a roof and Shoto was there."

All eyes shifted to Todoroki.   The boy sighed.  "I am not sure what that guys quirk was, but it knocked Izuku out and then made him...sad, I think."

"Depressed and suicidal, " a voice said from the stairs.

Everyone glanced over and saw Bakugo standing at the bottom.  His eyes were red and he looked both relieved and agonized.

"Kacchan?" Midoriya  breathed.

The blond walked closer.  "You damn nerd," he grunted.  "That guy's quirk put you back where you used to be.  You were ready to jump off that damn roof and you were still saying sorry."

Midoriya looked around and could tell from everyone's pained looks that it had to be true.  Suddenly he felt unfamiliar arms wrap around him, squeezing tight.  The scent of caramel hit his nose and he looked to the side and into spikey blond hair.

"Kacchan?" He asked again.  He could feel the blond shaking against him and he held tight.  "Bakugo?"

"Don't ever do that again, idiot!" Bakugo cried.  "Don't you ever let those thoughts come back!  I can't be number one unless I go against the best."

Midoriya smiled, hugging him gently.  "I won't Kacchan, " he answered and then leaned in, whispering something to the blond which only made him cry harder.

After a moment Kirishima wandered over and eased the emotional blond away.  Soon everyone else scattered,  shell-shocked by the events.  Once it was just them, Todoroki pulled Midoriya down to sit next to him.

"What did you say to him?" Todoroki asked.

Midoriya shrugged.   "Something he needed to hear.  Sho, Kacchan and I were...well he bullied me in middle school.   Some of the bullies would suggest suicide so I wasn't a burden on mom anymore."

Todoroki frowned.  "That wasn't nice.  But I don't get it.  Was he one of them?"

Midoriya sighed.  "Just once," he answered.   "That was the day I decided it was better if I died.   I went up to my school roof and was ready to jump.  The soulmate vision stopped me."

"So when I did what I did..." Todoroki breathed, eyes wide in awe.

"It broke me out of whatever I was under," Midoriya smiled.  "But...I am curious.   What made you think to do that?"

Todoroki smiled softly,  "Bakugo told me that you held that vision like a lifeline."

Midoriya smiled and glanced toward the kitchen where Kirishima and Kaminari were comforting Bakugo.

"He saved me life without trying, " Midoriya laughed.  "I'll have to thank him."

Todorki took Midoriya's hand in his own.  "Later.  I would like to spend time with my soulmate after today."

Midoriya's eyes lit up.  "Really?   You mean-"

Todoroki nodded and leaned in to peck him on the cheek.  He smiled as his green haired partner pulled him close, laughing.

He spotted Mina taking a picture, but decided to leave it alone for now.  He knew their interview would be continued later based on the girls squeals of joy.  For the moment, he just enjoyed the warm hug wrapped around him.
