Todoroki got his lunch and moved to sit by himself. Most of the class had Midoriya surrounded, though the green haired boy had waved at him when he passed.

He settled down at his table, taking a slow bite before unfolding the note. He smiled at the crisp handwriting- slightly messy but so neat at the same time.

Sho, thank you for giving me a chance to process my feelings. I am sorry for what happened to you and the harm you experienced. My mom has asked to extend an invite for you to visit this weekend. You do not have to if you do not want. She wants to prooerly meet my soulmate. Kacchan also said he would defend you now that he knows. I hope you don't mind I told him everything you told me. So...sorry for the rambling and just tell me if I bother you during lessons.

Todoroki grinned as he reread the note several times. He folded it carefully and put it in his wallet. He decided he would write back.

He finished lunch quickly and headed back to the classroom. He pulled out a sheet of paper and pen...then stared at the blank space. What should he say? How could he respond without sounding desperate? After a moment he pulled Midoriya's note out again and read over it before he started writing.

Zuku, I will always be willing to give you time. I feel so grateful that you were willing to give me a chance. Please tell your mother I accept. I would be honored to properly meet your mother and to thank her for gifting the world your smile.

"What the hell is that?"

Todoroki jumped at Bakugo's voice. He scrambled to hide the note, but wasn't as fast as the blond.

The fierce boy read the note and snorted. "Lose the last line unless you want a sputtering mess."

Todoroki frowned and reached for the paper. "What do-"

Bakugo held it above his head. "I grew up with the nerd. He'll freak with something like that."

He finally handed Todoroki the paper. "Besides, something like that ain't exactly going slow."

The heterochromatic boy sighed and started to crumble the note, feeling defeated. A hand stopped him.

Two toned eyes looked up to meet soft red. Kirishima grinned. "Ignore the emotionally constipated pomeranian, " he laughed, ignoring the outcry from his soulmate. "The green bean will love whatever you wrote. Be you - that's who he wants to meet his mom."

Todoroki looked back at his note, uncertain. As the other students started to enter, he folded the note and put it on Midoriya's desk before he chickened out.

He saw the red head give a thumbs up as their shared friend entered and sat down. Midoriya spotted the paper and opened it, curious. His cheeks grew red as he tucked the note away.
