Victoria and Alex found themselves to be alone at the shelter, with the former lying in the hammock and the latter sitting next to her in the shelter. "Are you mad at me?" Victoria asked. "I feel like you're mad at me."

"Why would I be mad at you?" Alex asked.

"I dunno," Victoria exclaimed. "I kinda regret flipping, I guess."

"Oh, you flipped, right," Alex said. "Well, I'll put it this way... if I was in your position, I'd have done the same thing."

"Would you?" Victoria asked.

"Oh, for sure," Alex reaffirmed. "You just wanted to make a big move, and you got your chance and you took it."

"I— yeah," Victoria lied. "I wasn't sure if I was gonna get the chance, since I'm on the bottom kind of."

"You're on the bottom?" Alex asked. "The next to go is either me, Brianna, or Kalyani. You saved yourself."

"Not really," Victoria exclaimed. "Brianna is friends with pretty much everyone. She can spread a rumor about me very easily if she wanted to."

Alex (Shin Maw Tribe): Victoria's position in this game is really weird to me. I can't even describe it... it's like, she's sort of on the top, but she's also not. I personally still trust her, and I understand why she did what she did... even if that sucks. I want to play that kind of game myself, actually. Being a wild card, flipping on people just to cause chaos... that's what I want MY game to be. So if she wants to play like that, let me join her.

"Then Brianna needs to go next," Alex said suddenly.

"What do you mean?" Victoria asked. "Aren't you guys allies?"

"I trust you more," Alex exclaimed. "I actually want to work with you. You and I have the same idea of how we want to play, and that makes you a much better ally."

"I want to work with you too, honestly," Victoria agreed. "We've been together since Day 1, but I think we should establish something."

"We just did," Alex laughed.

Victoria (Shin Maw Tribe): Alex is probably my number one out here right now. And I say "number one" loosely, because I don't know if I can trust anyone out here right now. The person I trust the most, though, is Alex. Because he seems to genuinely want to work with me, and he's the only person in the tribe that's said that and, like, actually had it be official.

"Do you think that Kalyani's still with Brianna?" Victoria asked.

"It's not impossible," Alex said. "Brianna probably still thinks I'm with her, too."

"Does she?" Victoria exclaimed.

"Yeah, I think so," Alex affirmed.

-

Kalyani and Brianna — the people Alex and Victoria were just speculating about — along with Lauren, Jonah, and John, were sitting together on the shore, considerably out of earshot of Alex and Victoria.

"I just wanna know, like, how you feel about Alex," John said. "Because people have been saying that Alex isn't trustworthy, and I kinda just wanna get to the bottom of it because you were in an alliance with him."

"We think he's flipping over as well," Kalyani exclaimed.

"Yeah," Brianna agreed. "I think Victoria's turning him over to her side."

"What side does she even have?" Lauren asked. "She's like, basically on her own."

"She thinks she's with you and Jonah because she flipped to your side at the last vote," Kalyani said.

"So I'm just a non-factor," John laughed.

"No, actually, yeah," Brianna exclaimed. "I think Victoria's just grouped you in with Emmanuel and Liam, honestly."

"That's weird," John said. "We're aligned, but we're not, like, attached at the hip or anything... do people think of us as this big trio or something?"

"Maybe," Kalyani said. "But if you are with them, more numbers for us, right?"

"I mean, it's a nine-person tribe," Jonah stated. "As long as us five stick together, we're fine, no matter what Emmanuel and Liam want."

"Right," Kalyani agreed.

John (Shin Maw Tribe): This tribe is constantly shifting and changing, and honestly, it's getting really hard for me to keep track of. There's this new sort of thing forming with myself, Jonah, Lauren, Kalyani, and Brianna, and like... I dunno. I'm still cautious of Kalyani and Brianna, because I know they've been targeting people I really want to work with. But if they have my best interests in mind at all, I'll get to keep Liam and Emmanuel for at least two rounds. So it's better than nothing, at least.

-

"Rain again, huh?" Victoria asked.

"Yeah..." Alex said. "It's weirdly warm, though."

"I'll take it," exclaimed John, who was actually sitting outside of the shelter. "I like rain when it's not cold and miserable."

"So never," Brianna said. A few people laughed.

"I dunno, the last rainfall sucked, but I like this one," John exclaimed.

Jonah (Shin Maw Tribe): Rain sucks on Survivor, honestly. Like, they're not lying when they say rain sucks on this show. It's the worst. It's rained here and there throughout this game, but this is our second serious rainfall. I'm glad it's not, like, constantly raining or anything, but it's definitely frustrating whenever it does because any plans you had for that day just get squashed.

"I just don't want to do a challenge in the rain," said Kalyani.

"I don't like doing challenges at all, personally," Emmanuel said.

"I'm aware," Lauren joked.

Emmanuel laughed. "I dunno, some of them are fun! Like the slide one with the balls!"

"The one you didn't even compete in?" Jonah asked. "Sounds about right."

Kalyani (Shin Maw Tribe): There is a positive about the rain, though! It's that as a tribe, I think we get some time to bond and get to know each other a little bit better. We need to have cohesion as a tribe in order to keep winning challenges. It's worked so far, and we need to keep it up. Going to tribal council has drawn lines in the sand a little bit, and now there's drama on the tribe, but I want to try my best to stay away from that and just focus on unity.

"I just really hope this doesn't carry into the night," said Victoria. "That would be the worst thing ever."

"Yeah," Lauren agreed, "I'm with you on that one. We got lucky it wasn't raining while we were trying to sleep yesterday."

"Literally," Liam said. "The first six hours were bad enough..."

Liam (Shin Maw Tribe): The last time it rained, we got lucky that there wasn't any rain carrying over into the night. But, as the night gets closer, I can't shake the feeling that we might be wrong? I'm not sure.
