Graduation was right around the corner, thankfully, and exams were finished. Only thing anyone was worried about was the annual bonfire. You had been avoiding Hoseok's friends, specifically Yoongi, ever since that day in the cafeteria. The mysterious envelope laid on your kitchen table for the past week unopened. The anxiety that bubbled in your throat every time you thought about opening it was too much for you.
That look in Yoongi's eye was burned into your brain and it was starting to piss you off how much you were letting him get to you. Your precious Hobi had noticed you were much more distant than normal and that spoke volumes.
The door slammed behind you when you came home, hands buried in your jacket pockets twirling the ringlets of hair between your fingers.
Slinging your bag into one of the dining chairs you followed your usual routine. Pulling your dresser from against the wall revealed your most prized possession, second to Hoseok of course.
You pulled the blonde curls from your pockets, letting them glisten and gleam in the sunlight spilling through your bedroom window for a moment before taking them and the tin to the bathroom.
You watch the suds swirl slide down the sink towards the drain, honeysuckle and coconut drowning your senses bringing back memories of your mother.
Running your fingers through the sopping wet golden locks reminds you of Hoseok's wash days. It'd become a bonding thing for y'all, only you were allowed to wash and cut his hair.
No one else.
Ripped from your daydreaming by the sound of the front door opening saw you scrambling to ring out the wet hair and toss it into the tin before stuffing it under the dirty clothes in the nearby hamper.
"Duckie! What are you doing babe?"
Hoseok's booming voice echoed in the small studio apartment, his footsteps growing closer to the locked bathroom door.
Thankfully, you'd made a habit of always locking the door, Hoseok was not a 'knock-before-you-enter' kind of man whatsoever.
"Using the bathroom, what do you want?" You winced at how cold your voice sounded.
That precious man had done nothing wrong.
"Are we ok babe? You've been giving me the cold shoulder all week. Did I do something again?"
Again? Oh bless him, he was perfection personified.
"You haven't done anything, I'll be out in a minute." You hissed while tossing the shampoo and conditioner back under the sink, drying your hands, and the counter.
As soon as he heard the click of the door unlocking, Hoseok yanked the door open, almost knocking you off your feet before sweeping you up into a needy kiss.
