Which motherfucker said power lied in number, whoever it was was either completely wrong or completely right.. Completely wrong in Astrid's case and completely right in Ash's case.. Pokemon could release themselves at their will sometime from their pokeball... The inside of a pokeball was similar to a unnatural stimulation of their natural habitats but maybe some pokemons didn't liked it or do it if their trainers were in danger...

Breaking through a pokeball could happen with either hyperactive pokemons who hated to stay in it or in a condition where the pokemon is driven by a strong desire... Unfortunately for Ash, his bond either with Hiroshi's ninetail or his dratini wasn't too strong.. That left Charizard but he didn't wanted to use him for two reasons...

The dragon was too injured to even move... The fire producing organ lied right beneath the diaphragm in the cavity and when the diaphragm flattens it pours out the flames into the pipe connected to it but with holes punctured into his lungs, it was impossible to control that fire...

Number two. Ash was aware if he gets put and witness the horrors around, he would refuse to go inside back unless it gets its hands dirty which he couldn't afford seeing the Mega Aggron in front of him...

There are different ways pokemon sense if their trainers are in danger.. Psychic pokemon can sense their mind, dark type their fears and pokemon like Ash's Charizard and Cynthia's Garchomp could sense it as they had formed a two way bond which couldn't be broken unless either the trainer or the pokemon was dead...

Absol was slightly different.. He could sense calamities and he sensed a massive calamity to crash upon Astrid in the form of the Hydregion.. Panic settled in his body and he broke through the pokeball... The dragon pulse connected with the mega horn tearing the draconic beam into two which slammed on the two cages next to him blowing them off like snapping a twig...

A wave of panic settled both Astrid's and Absol's mind... You know the rules and so do I. The cliche anime trope of never fighting a opponent this strong but since it was a pseudo legendary, it was expected... Absol groaned in pain feeling his whole body shot off toward a tree at the massive power from the force of attack of dragon pulse...

"Dodge..." Sounded simple but so difficult... Controlling a body which was being thrown around like a rag doll was difficult... The back of the dark type twisted as much as it could looking at the dark and dragon type whose roar filled the entire surroundings.. Roars filled with hate for humans... The hind legs of the absol slammed onto the tree as hard as it could.. The pressure of the attack was diverted onto the tree from his legs...

Pouring the power to hone the quick attack to perfection at his trainer's command, the absol disappeared into winds before the attack could hit it.. The raged Hydregion's eyes snapped open... Astrid's eyes lightly twitched seeing the pokemon finding not a single attack in her arsenal to do some serious damage... "Dark pulse..." Her voice was a snarl of distress feeling the rain drops run down her face... She looked around to search for the woman finding her gone just like the absol...

"You got to be shitting me..."

Vengeance for betrayal of being left behind could come later.. First came getting out of here alive.. She couldn't run from a pokemon who could fly all the way through forest and she didn't wanted to lead it to the camp or whatever wad left of it... "Shadow ball.." She snarled and so did the Absol...

Both the pokemon were a part dark type which meant they could feel the flow of the dark type energy in their bodies.. The two intact heads of the Hydregion shot behind... In a split second both the attack and the counterattack was charged and unleashed at each other.. Dark spirals of energy shot from both sides met in the middle turning into one single ball of dark energy...
