ACT 81 | PLAY WITH FIRE

Calem's words rung in her head.. When Marnie found it was Calem who wanted to meet her in private after school, she surely was surprised to an extent but maybe expected it with all the fiasco that was going on... Three students got expelled and it was revealed that Ash was the student who was supposed to be expelled.. All was indicating at one end...

"What is he aiming at?" Marnie asked Calem who gazed out of the clubroom wondering about the same question... Did Ash didn't liked being defeated or something like that? He did said, he couldn't lose to anyone so with his arm gone, was he playing psychological warfare on them to cover up for himself..

He did every wrong thing in second year and expects to cover up for himslf... No, defeat was something Ash was person most familiar with.. He had lost to hundreds of trainers, if not thousands in his entire career then why was he this desperate to win this time against everything...

"I don't know Marnie... I really don't.. The Ash we know and the Ash Astrid know are completely two different people, it is just turning out like that time.. I wanted you to keep an eye for your special class C because he might be aiming for something during sports event.." Calem spun the soccer ball on his fingers.. Marnie knew not more on the matter than Calem did but he sounded more of scared than calculative this time...

"That time?"

The ball slipped off his index finger and landed onto his feets as he balanced it kicking it back to his hands... "I have never seen Ash use his brain no more than two times.. With his training as a child forgotten, his abilities were gone too and now it seems he is recalling them slowly but surely and trust me.. When that happened, nothing mattered to him." The way he put it was scary and maybe he was right...

His eyes held a strangeness in them when he was not with Astrid for all Marnie recalled... They had a darkness which could engulf anything in front of him without a second thought...

"Yesterday was second time when he ended the special exam even before anyone could understand what it was and the first was when he prevented me and Serena from being expelled in junior high.. What happened next was something even i don't understood..." Calem still shivered recalling the look he gave to the two of them when he warned them to stay out of his path while he deals with all the thrash on his own...

"What did he did?"

"Ash was a unfathomable fucking asshole who does anything he wants using brawl, money, influnce and brain.. He is rather leaned toward money and brawl more but that time when he used it.. The entire school didn't existed by next week... No one knew why, even our fathers so that ruled out money and it was voluntary.. He did something even no one knew..." Calem told her who carefully listened to him while the ball slipped off his feets and slid next to Marnie who kicked it toward her hand...
