Cynthia was a champion, she had seen death on more than occasions she could count but with Ash.. She wanted him to live a life without any regret...

"Don't..." She warned him... She hid her face from him ignoring the tears staining her cheeks as he gripped her hand.. He attempted to pull her closer and it turned the bad situation worse... "DON'T LIE TO ME... YOU CAN'T LEAVE US LIKE THAT... NOT AFTER LAST NIGHT.. I LOVE YOU GODDAMIT.." Her embraced her pulling her against his body as her head collided with his chest dampening the spot it made contact as she bursted into tears...
He held her wildly trashing body against himself allowing her to cry... Astrid never hated the world, but for the first time she felt like hating it... Everything was against them in every way possible.. "You can't.." She crashed onto the ground.. Her tears dampened his entire shoulder as he cradled her in a lame attempt to soothe her with his free hand...
She wanted to believe it was a lie but the seriousness he spoke it with scared her.. Cynthia's vision blurred as she tumbled over the table grabbing a glass of water holding her head tightly.. She felt like it would break down any moment from here.. A thin layer of panic sweat covered her face as she tried to control herself but it was impossible...
