The deep water calls to them
The lost, worried travelers
It calls them into her depth
She gives them new hope at a better future
So they yearn to come to call
Back to the deep water once again
I am a weary, lost traveler
That uses her, the deep water
For reflection on my times
And many troubles
I depend upon the deep water
To always be there when I come to call
I depend upon the deep water
To show me that the most wild things
Can be calm in a storm
The deep water show me that beauty
Like all precious things
Can turn deadly in the wrong hands
The deep water reminds me that while times may pass
That there will always be a constant
Something to look back on
Something that brings me light
The deep water has shown me that looks are deceiving
That not all beauty is pure
And that beauty is not skin deep
She reminds me that not everything is for keeps
That time can take what we hold close
The water has shown me that rage is disastrous
That things we say can take time to heal
Although my time at the deep water has passed
I know that she waits for me to return
And other lost travelers to
It is part of the tedious cycle we call life
To bring us back to her again
If our lives may permit it
The deep water can be a voice for us all
A gentle reminder of loves gone and passed
Or a fierce truth that you need to let go
I am a lost traveler myself
And like many before me I have used her depths
To drag me out of my own
She is open for all dreamers,
Learners, believers
Those that want
But don't yet know truth
She waits for us all
The deep water lies in wait
For the day she can bring us all peace
The deep water can be a place for us all
To unfold our lives
And be a source of light
The deep water can lead us through
If only we follow right behind
And recognize that we are in need of the deep water
