We all wish to have it
To hold it in the palm of our hand
To live in a world full of happiness
A world where equality is expected
To live in a world at peace
But peace in our times is a far-fetched idea
If only every man, woman and child
Could join hands as one
To look past the differences
Might we have peace
But peace isn't possible
Until we look past the outer person
Although our appearances may say otherwise
We are all the same inside
Peace is holding love for every fellow man
To admire the individual that hides on the inside
Peace is a collaboration between all of us
To strive to do better, not just for ourselves
To strive to do better for the lives of the future
So we may have a future at peace
