Chapter 25-1 Down

Isabella's POV

1 hour earlier

As Nicholas gets out of the house in a rush, I can't help but worry about him

He's angry and what if he does something reckless? He can't be losing his life like that- i think as i decide what to do

Suddenly an idea clicks in my head and i follow him behind in another car without getting seen by him

I somehow reach before him thanks to the gps but don't go inside. Instead i wait around the warehouse and examine the place

I release a small drone camera in the air that is small enough to not get noticed but also enough to gather some information

The drone helps me know crucial details like how many men are guarding the warehouse and I quickly assume the front door as a big no

I look towards the back entrance and my screen tells me that there's two guards guarding that are aimlessly holding their weapons

I notice Nicholas's car approaching from my rear view mirror and quickly drive away from the warehouse

I look at him sitting in his car not doing anything and the thought of him considering to go through the front brain crosses my mind

Shivers run down my spine as i realize he is thinking to go that way since there's no other way

I grab a second phone that i have in my car and text him the details i learned thanks to the drone

For anyone wondering, i used to have a second phone with another number for any office work because sometimes i had to deal with people who i didn't like dealing with and so i used a phone that left them 'on delivered' after my work was done

I notice Nicholas getting out of the car and going through the back door approaching it slowly

Several minutes pass and i look at Jenny and a weak Mr. Anthony coming outside and my heart skips a beat at that sight of them

Jenny notices my car and instead of going to Nicholas's car she comes to mine with Mr.Anthony still being held by her

I help get them seated and then tell them everything

Jenny tells me about Nicholas who is still inside attempting to find his brother and that thought makes me nervous

"Jenny, can you drive back home?" I ask her and tell her about the route and she nods in agreement

"Okay good then take Him and yourself to the hospital, get yourselves checked. I'll go" i say and open the car door getting out

"But where are you going?" Jenny asks me panicking and i reassure her holding her arm

"He needs me" i say and take off to running from the back door

I see the dead men and pick up one of the guns from there

I enter the building and the sight of Nicholas, an unknown man and Silas leaves me stunned

Dammit Nicholas- i think as i think of what to do and suddenly hear the person load the gun

Unsure of what to do, i aim the gun in my hand to the man's chest and fire before he does

No one moves for a second and it takes me time to get hold of what happened

I look at the man who falls down before Nicholas and then Nicholas's gaze that turns towards me.

The man wheezes in pain as he turns to look at me and i look at him equally stunned

"Isabella, why are you here?" Nicholas says as he walks over to me and i blink unable to form words

Our conversation gets interrupted by the sound of another man grabbing onto Silas dragging him away from the room

I take a step towards them but the man points the gun towards me and i stop in my tracks

"Anyone who moves a step forward will get shot" the man says as he takes a step backward with Silas in his arms

"Listen why are you doing this?" Nicholas asks calmly and the man hesitates for a second looking at Silas

He gains his composure and drags Silas away from the room and we follow the man as he gets out of our sight

The man drags Silas across the hallway and outside the warehouse reaching the sea shore bridge

"What are you doing?" Nicholas yells as Silas tries to break free but the man tightens the grip around Silas's neck

"Don't hurt him" i say worriedly as i look at all the angry faces

The man places a gun on Silas's head and Nicholas takes a step towards him but the man is too quick as he pulls the trigger of the gun and then

BANG

The sound of a massive gunshot fills the air echoing across the sea

My body starts to shiver as i blink my eyes to get hold of the scenario

I look in front of me to see a stunned Nicholas standing in the middle of the bridge and then in front of him is the man who stands in disbelief as he holds the not so well Silas

Blood starts pouring out of Silas's chest as he keeps a hand on it to feel the pain

He looks at Nicholas smiling at him with shiny eyes

"Thank you for being the best brother" he manages to say between his coughs and fainting breath

He then closes his eyes as life fades out of him in the arms of his murderer
