Isabella's POV
2 hours later
"can you identify the body?" The policeman asks me and i nod
They pull out a body out of an ambulance and put it on the floor
Suddenly i hear the clouds curse in heavy anger as the sky turns pitch grey, i look at the sky as a drop falls on my cheek
I look back down to the body as the sound of thunder echoes along the city and when the cloth is removed from the body, both me and the sky cry
The heavy rain and thunder are just a mild feeling compared to what i feel at this sight
My mom is de@d- laying straight, her eyes closed and her face masked as if she is in a deep sleep
I take a hesitant step towards her as the sound of thunder increases and everyone runs here and there around me to take care of things as heavy rain showers the city
"You need to go inside. The lightening might struck you" A policeman runs to me and I don't respond to him, my eyes fixed on my mom
"The only thing worse than a goodbye is when you don't get a chance to say goodbye" i say almost whispering and the policeman looks at me in confusion
Tears well up in my eyes and hand hovers over my mom's face as the urge to touch her one more time, hold her, tell her that i love her, tell her that I'm sorry erupts inside of me
My clothes are all soaked in water by now but I couldn't care less about it
"Isabella" Nicholas comes to me as he keeps a comforting hand on my shoulder
"Im sorry" he says as he stares at the sight in front of me and i close my hand into a tight fist as i rest my head against his shoulder
The rest of the day passes by in arranging for her funeral
An emotionless me carries around the duties again, the next day passes by in a lot of condolences, its not that I don't need it, they just don't seem to make a difference inside my burning heart
That day, two funerals happen, two people mourn and two fires emerge from the hearts of two people who decide to seek revenge from the same person.
After the day has concluded, i watch the sun set with a heavy heart as i sit beside my mom,
she looks as beautiful as ever- i think as i place a rose on the stone
I trace a hand across the gravestone that portrays the name of the person i will forever love
The picture of my mom and me from when i graduated shines brightly on the stone and a tear escapes my eye as i look at it
"I will become someone that everyone will fear" i say as tears flow down my cheek and i let them
After a moment i gather myself as Nicholas walks over to me
"You're ready?" Nicholas asks me as he grabs his coat and i nod
He gives me a hand and helps me get up
"Isabella" he looks at me softly saying my name, still holding my hand in a firm grip and i smile
"Its okay, every soul shall taste death" i say looking into a distance
We walk together away from the graveyard and back to our home
Back at home, i go take a long shower as i gather my thoughts again giving my thoughts a second chance if they want to change
I look myself in the mirror as a new me reflects back to me, the fire in her eyes burning as dangerous as her motive
