Nicholas's POV
around 8PM, we move along the mansion walls, being as quite as possible.
The earpiece in my ear and Colton's voice behind it guides me thoroughly so i can move inside smoothly
"Wait" Colton suddenly speaks and i almost trip on my step. I keep a hand behind me and Carlos stops behind me, i tilt my head a little and see a man glancing outside
"1?" I speak slowly
"Yes" Colton's voice echoes in my ear.
I look towards the sky and the mansion walls seem to go on forever up in the sky
I signal Carlos and he passes me a shock baton.
I equip it in my hand slowly as we make our way towards the man who is now turned around staring at a distance
I take a step until I'm right behind him and before he can turn around, i use the baton on him
He falls on his knees and on the ground in one swift motion
Carlos quickly takes care of the guy and we move along the dark back area until we find ourselves in a garden
The garden's back sight is dim but we can hear all sorts of voices from the front
People cheering, applauding and music is all i can make
I furrow my eyebrows as i look at Carlos and he shrugs his shoulders
"Nicholas there's a party going on" Colton speaks after some time and both me and Carlos tense
What will we do now. There's so many people
"What sort of party and how many people?" I whisper to him and he doesn't respond for a second
"It's-it looks like a celebration and there's quite a crowd" Colton says, his voice feeling dry
"Move or pass?" I ask him and he hesitates
"I would say no" Colton says and i clench my fists
Dammit. Why today only?
"But i need to get her" i say through gritted teeth and Carlos sighs behind me
"Nicholas it might backfire" Carlos says keeping a hand on my shoulder and i shrug
"I don't care. I need to get her" i say as i look around
Suddenly the voices around us grow louder and i try to make sense of them
"Give a hand for the new couple" Someone says loudly and everyone bursts into applauses
"New couple?" Carlos repeats the words and i close my eyes as i pinch the bridge of my nose
A weird feeling starts developing inside my heart as my brain drifts to what it might mean
Here i am risking my life to get her.
There she is starting a new life.
An unknown feeling surrounds my heart as it wrenches in pain, the feeling of heartbreak or betrayal or both maybe surrounds my brain and heart
"Nicholas NO" Carlos shouts behind me but i am already walking towards the front of the garden
"Let me go and congratulate her" i say as i walk over to the party
Isabella's POV
after a good brunch, Cole gives me a tour of the house and i start to remember the paths
The house is bigger than i thought it to be but its simple to understand
"Uh Isabella" Cole says as we reach my bedroom door and i turn around to look at him
"Get ready around 8PM tonight, i have something planned for you" Cole says softly tugging a hair strand behind my ear and i inhale as his fingers touch my skin
The fire in his touch is too much to handle
"What for?" I ask and he smiles
"You'll know. Dress pretty" he says and opens the bedroom door for me gesturing me to go inside
I walk inside the room and close the door behind me as i think of what is happening to me and around me
Everything is so messed up but I don't know what to do, how to get out of this mess
I glance at the time and figure out i have 3 hours until its 8
I spend the rest of my time in a warm bath to calm my nerves
I come out wearing a robe when i find a dress cover hanged on the bedroom door
Furrowing my eyebrows in confusion, i walk over to the dress cover and take it down
I keep the cover on my bed as i pick up the note And read it
"Something you should wear in case you can't find anything to wear
-C-"
I place the note down and unzip the cover to reveal a dress from the inside
The A-line, off shoulder, puff sleeve,
Light blue dress reflects in my eyes as i look at it in admiration
The dress is so pretty that i feel hesitant to wear it
I glance at the time and figure i only have an hour
I spent the hour doing my hair which is leaving it in lose curls
Lastly i wear the dress but struggle to zip it.
"God" i sigh as the zip gets stuck in my hair and i struggle to get it out
The knock on the door goes unnoticed by me and suddenly the door opens to reveal a well dressed Cole walking inside the room
He walks in wearing a dark blue three piece that is fitted to perfection on his body with the shoulder, sleeves and even the waist
He walks inside to where i am standing and passes me a charming smile
Without saying anything, he stops behind me and softly moves my hair from the zip, zipping the whole thing swiftly
I look in the mirror as our reflection portrays in it, unable to do anything
Cole pulls out a box from his pocket and reveals a small pendant from it unhooking it
As Cole proceeds to hook the pendant around my neck, a sense of Deja vu surrounds my brain as i recall the day when i met Nicholas's parents for the first time
The same moment from the boutique flashes in front of my eyes and my breathing gets frequent
Cole leans closer to me as he drops the pendant and it touches with my skin hooked behind my neck
I touch the pendant and it shines brightly
"Let's go" Cole holds my hand and leads me out of the room
The whole time we walk, i pay less attention to where we are going and more to the deja vu i just experienced and how my heart hurt when i recalled Nicholas
We soon end up outside the mansion and into a garden
I finally snap out of my thoughts and look in front of me to a crowd standing
Upon our arrival, the crowd divides into two, giving us space to walk to the upmost front
"Give a hand for the new couple" someone with a mic speaks loudly and i realize the situation
Cole had set up an engagement celebration
