Romero almost spit her coffee after hearing that her grandfather is in Manila, after all those years of refusing to go home and see him, she will finally face Francisco Romero, the infamous former senator who successfully closed and took down numerous illegal minings across the country back in the days and the chairman of Romero Groups that's one of the biggest group of companies in Asia.
"Niabot sya kagabie"(Dumating sya kagabi), David carefully stated after seeing his boss' reaction, "And", he continued, "Nag pa arrange po si sir ng dinner para sa inyo",
Leonor carefully formulated her reply, though a touch of hesitation was accompanying her thoughts, she knew that refusing her grandfather's gesture would be too disrespectful. She cleared her throat before she spoke,
"Sige tignan ko lang schedule ko kung pwedeng masingit"
"Pero ma'am-"
"Riz tara na"
She quickly cut him and immediately dragged Riza out of the garden, not leaving David a chance to retort.

The thoughts of meeting her grandfather lingered in her mind for the rest of the day, since she left Cebu she never had stable contact with Francisco. The trauma from that one night of 1986 caused her so much pain that she couldn't even bear to look at her grandfather.
David was leaning on the car when he saw Leonor approaching him after her shift ended. Her expression was soulless and tiredness was imprinted on her gestures.
"Tara na ma'am?", he asked and opened the car door for her.
Leonor forced a smile and absently got inside the vehicle. She fastened her seat belt and looked at David who just received a call and was currently talking to the person on the other line. Out of curiosity, she lowered the window just enough for her to hear.
"Yes po, paki sabi kay senator na on the way na kami"
She took a deep sigh knowing that David was talking to her grandfather's bodyguard
"This is it Leonor", she muttered under her breath after she took a deep sigh.
The radio was playing "Island In The Stream", by Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton when David entered the car. He noticed few tears forming in her eyes and sought ways of comforting his boss,

David badly want to talk but had no clue of any topics to divert her boss' thoughts, he took no risks and decided to stay quite knowing how fragile Leonor was during that time. "Nandito na tayo ma'am"
"Alam ko", she coldly replied and got out.
She was greeted by Francisco's secretary the moment she stepped out of the car and ushered her to the penthouse. Anxiety and nervousness was reaching the heights of her head during their little journey, ascending through the establishment's floors. He turned his gaze to her the moment she entered the living room and called,
