"6:33 p.m", Leonor read as she looked at her wrist watch,
"Last patient na po yun doc" the nurse informed her while peeking at the room's door,
"Sige thank you, good job", she said while flashing a sweet smile.
She has always been a sweet and soft colleague to her co workers, they never saw her got angry, unlike other doctors, well the oldies who's patience are thin as a thread. She remained at her office after finishing her rounds, this is a usual routine for her when she has night shifts, the boredom came quickly to her, as she did nothing other than starring at the ceiling while laying on her office's couch.
"Mare! Daming single papi d2!", she received a message from Riza, she scoffed as she saw the pictures that her friend sent her.
"Talaga? Add to cart mo 'ko isa", Leonor replied, and proceeded to look at the pictures once again, "Ang ga-gwapo", she uttered zooming to the guys' faces.
"Bat isa lang? Andami here mga professionals pa! Mag aasawa na ata ako", Riza joked,
"Ay wait, bat nagpapa add to cart ka? Pano na si Dr.Ferdie mo?", she immediately sent another message.
"Gaga", Romero simply replied,
She turned off her phone and went out of her office for a coffee. Hearing nothing but silence brought inner peace to her, walking through the empty hallways of the hospital at night was the best part for her.
"May bagong president nadaw?"
"Yun sabi nila bagong appoint daw ng board"
"Wala pa bang pangalan?"
"Wala pa baka bukas"
"Galing abroad daw"
The nurses tackled as she passed by them. It was a big news for them, regarding the former president's passing and his replacement. Rumors said that a doctor from abroad was appointed to the vacant position, they were curious and it became the talk for the passed few weeks.

Leonor was sitting at the lobby, simply siping her coffee and enjoying the company of loneliness,
"Upo ka dito, samahan mo 'ko", she randomly said without looking at the person she was referring to.
A man in a black suit sat beside her, she offered him a cup of coffee which he gladly accepted, both of them were silent and only distant murmurs of the people can be heard,
"Hindi dapat tayo nag kakape ng ganito ma'am", the man chuckled,
She looked at him and noticed his gun on his waist slightly peeking from his coat,
"Tago mo yan, baka may maka kita", she said while looking at his weapon,
He immediately adjusted his coat, hiding his pistol from anyone's view,
"Sorry po ma'am", he apologised,
"Alam mo David pwede naman na hindi mo na ako bantayan eh", she started the conversation that they always talk about,
"Paumanhin po ma'am, pero bilin po kase yun ni Senator Romero", David retorted,
"Bilib din ako sayo no, ang gulo gulo ng schedule ko pero palagi ka paring nanjan", she praised David making him smile at her.
"Hoy!", Leonor exclaimed as she saw a familiar person entered the hospital rushing, David immediately stood up and hid his self to avoid being seen,
"Ba't ka nandito? Akala koba iinom kayo ni Miko?", she asked Riza who's now panting and busy fixing her self,
"Bigla akong tinawagan, nag loloko daw vitals ng patient ko", Riza replied catching her breath,
"Teka gaga kaba?, naka inom ka ako nalang", Leonor volunteered,
"Sis hindi nga ako naka shot ni isa" , Riza responded while handing Romero the stuff she was carrying, "Daan mo nalang yan sa office thank you and bye", she continued and hurriedly entered the elevator. Leonor just sighed, she looked at David,
"Sa office lang ako", she said, and he just nodded in response.
