A pair of toasts popped out of the toaster, while the sizzling butter cooked the eggs in the pan, the coffee machine whirred, as it produced the aroma that could lift one's morning spirit.
"Ang aga mo ha", Leonor said to her friend who was busy spraying water to her plans.
"Malamang", Riza replied and flicked few dead leaves out of their stem, "Kung makikikain ako ng almusal dapat maaga".
"Alagaan mo nga tong mga bulaklak mo, nalalanta na yung iba", she added sounding frustrated and placed her hands on her waist, facing Romero from the balcony door.
"Pano ko 'yan ma aalagaan eh halos wala nga ako dito sa bahay", Leonor responded, she began arranging the table and plating the eggs and toasts.
"Ba't tatlo yung plato?", Riza queued
"Dadating si Roger, galing airport"
"Buhay pa pala yun?!", Javier sarcastically exclaimed,
"Gagang to", Romero took a sip of her coffee and motioned Riza to come, "Malamang buhay pa, dadating nga diba".
Her friend sat across her, they began eating and chatted about what happened the night before. The morning was pleasant and birds were constantly flying pass by the clear windows of the apartment, despite the early time, traffic was already worse and commuters flocked to the bus stops that can be seen from the unit that they're in. Minutes later, their giggly conversation got disturbed when the door bell rang.
"Si Roger na siguro 'to", Leonor wiped her lips, and stood up to get the door. Before she opened, she looked through the monitor and as expected, she saw Roger standing outside.
"Hi! Good morning, kumusta?" Roger greeted the moment the door opened and revealed his long time friend.
"Hiii!", Leonor excitedly greeted him back and initiated a hug, "Finally nagkita narin tayo"
Riza opened her arms and teasingly uttered Roger's name, "Rogelio Chavez!",
"Javier!" Roger exclaimed with his high pitched voice, "Gagi ba't ang mature mong tignan?!", he added while hugging his friend.
"Hmm, gumanda kase ako, ikaw nga buti buhay ka pa!", She countered his sarcasm.
"Nag almusal ka na? Kain ka muna." Romero offered before returning to her seat.
"Oh, before I forget", Chavez raised a finger and opened his suitcase, "Dinalhan kita nang hopia Romero", He pulled out four boxes of hopia and placed them on the table making Leonor's eyes widen.
"Dami ah!"
"Syempre marami akong pera"
The three of them chuckled as they settled themselves.
"Ay oo, since nandito kayong dalawa", Roger opened while munching his toast, "May gagawing community service yung foundation ko next month"
"Kelangan nyo nang volunteers?", Riza asked
"Yes", he nodded, "gusto n'yo ba?",
"Give us the exact date, para masingit sa schedule", Leonor said,
"December 6, one day lang kaso..."
"Kaso ano?"
"Medjo secluded yung area"
"Sige tignan ko schedule ko", Romero turned to Riza and asked: "Sama ka ba Riz?"
Javier having no thoughts of agreeing, looked at the two and inevitably fakery smiled, "Tignan ko din schedule ko",
"Plastic neto", Leonor's eyebrows furrowed, "Sasama yan", She reassured Roger.
"Good, kaya lang kulang parin yung mga nag papalista, may pwede ba kayong ma aya?"
"Si George sabihan ko baka pumayag"
"Sinong George?", Chavez cluelessly questioned
" George Ferrero, manliligaw nya, or sila na...ewan", Javier giggled and shrugged her shoulders.
"George Ferrero... that rings a bell", Roger rubbed his chin and thought, after a moment he covered his mouth and exclaimed "Ferrero? Yung may ari nang Law firm?!"
"Oh pak! Korek!" Riza clapped her hands and initiated a high five with roger, which he gladly complied.
"Ganda mo Leonor! Big time"
"But wait, theres more" Javier said with a teasing tone, "Yung bagong president nang hospital namen, parang nag dadamoves rin sakanya"
"Gagang to, hindi ah", Leonor playfully slapped Raiza's shoulder, "Mabait lang yung tao",
"Sus jan naman nag sisimula eh", Roger chortled, "Bait baitan, tapos man liligaw",
"Hmm diba? Doon rin naman napupunta eh" Riza agreed.
"Alam n'yo para kayong mga timang",
Chavez and Javier continued teasing Romero until they finished their breakfast. They chatted a lot and eventually left the unit moments after, leaving Leonor behind, she didn't have the chance to turn her house into a mess as she was rarely home, everything was on its place and basically sleep and nothing was her only option to do.

Leonor got woke up by a ring from her door bell, she rubbed her eyes with the back of her hand and checked the time, "8:46p.m". The door bell rang again making her stand up and walked towards the door while stretching,
"Sandali lang!", she raised her voice so that the fellow outside can hear.
The person replied with silence and it got her thinking. She was wearing her night gown and hurriedly put on a jacket to generously cover herself up and went for the door numb, despite having no clue of the visitor's identity, she was dumb enough to not check her security monitor and proceeded to open the door.
Leonor froze in shock, she felt her spirit leaving her body the moment she saw the two being standing right in front of her. At the back of her head, she started to question her whole sanity. Her thoughts crumbled and her heart beat rose, as she was figuring out how the hell is this possible.

"Ma... Pa", tears started to form in her eyes as she uttered,
