4:45a.m, it was still dark, and the cold breeze of the dawn was calming, the parking lot was quite,the distant noise of the city was filling the silence among the hospital grounds, Leonor was casually sipping her coffee while leaning on her car's bumper, staring at the vast blank sky,
"Wala ka bang chika jan?", she asked David who's sitting at the driver's seat nearly dozing off,
"Bukod sa pinapauwi po kayo ni senator sa Cebu ngayong Sabado, wala na po ma'am", he replied while his eyes closed,
"Sabihin mo marami akong trabaho", she said, hinting him her rejection,
David sat straight and poked his head out of the open car window,
"Dugay dugay naman pud wa ka kauli ma'am" (Matagal tagal kana ring hindi ka naka uwi ma'am), "Bisan kuman lang gud" (Kahit ngayon lang), he retorted hoping to convince his boss,
"Wala pako ganahi mo uli" (Wala pa akong ganang umuwi) she replied with a sigh.
It was a fact, she didn't want to go home, it's been a while since she stepped on the soils of Cebu. The painful memories that she always carry are holding her back, and the thought of coming home was never an option for her. David didn't respond nor argued, he knows Leonor's story, and he respected her decision. Silence was once again swarming among them, the rhythm of the silence and the distant car honks and engines became the soul of peacefulness that was forming within the two. All of a sudden, a deafening roar of an engine outsted the overwhelming tranquil that was filling the atmosphere, a motorcycle parked three cars away from them,
"Harley Davidson", David read as the silver branding reflected the lights,
"Ano bayan, ang aga aga nag iingay motor mo", Leonor said to Michael while he was removing his helmet and safety gears,
"Good morning doc!", he greeted warmly while approaching her, still fixing his hair.
He was wearing a white polo and a brown leather jacket, which he gladly removed and placed it over Leonor's shoulders,
"Baka ginawin ka, mamahalin pa kita gagi" said Michael and leaned beside her,
"Gago", she refuted and handed him a cup of coffee, "Decaf yan sir, as you requested", she added sarcastically, Michael just giggled and thanked her.
"Si Riza asan?", she asked,
"Ayan", Michael pointed the approaching black Mercedes Benz with his lips,
"Aba ang aga ng gaga", Leonor sounded impressed while watching Riza park her car.

"Narinig nyo ba yung usap usapan?", Riza opened,
The three of them were just enjoying each other's company while waiting for their shift to start,
"Hindi", both Michael and Leonor answered almost at the same time,
"Ang hihina naman ng signal nyo", she retorted,
"Baket ano bang nasagap mo?", said Leonor,
" ipapakilala nadaw ngayon yung bagong appoint na president ng hospital", Riza revealed the news that she got from the staff,
"Ah yung apo ng former chairman at galing ng UK", Michael clarified sounding unimpressed,
"Oo pano mo yun nalaman?"
"Wala chika chika lang sa gilid", Michael said to Riza,
"Tama na yang chika, pumasok na tayo mag aalas singko na", Leonor cut in fetching her stuff.
It's always a routine for them, waiting for each other to arrive whenever they have the same schedules, their friend group was formed during college days, there were six of them originally, but because of their work life, they hang out very seldom.
"Meeting po mamaya 9 sa conference hall", a med student informed the three of them as they entered the lobby,
"Unang bungad sa umaga meeting agad", Riza complained and headed to her office first "Mauna na ako, kain tayo later" she bid, the other two did the same thing.

Dr. Ferdinand was just idling around the hospital hallways when he saw Dr. Leonor heading towards him, her presence lifted his mood and his morning became pleasant,
"Good morning" he greeted and smiled, the same sweet smile that he always flash in front of her,
"Oy Hi!", Leonor countered his greeting excitedly, "Isang linggo kang hindi nakita ah", she continued,
"Na busy lang, you know, adjustments and stuff" he replied while secretly admiring the beautiful woman in front of him, "baket namiss mo ba ako?",
"Kung sasabihin kong oo sasaya kaba?", hearing what she just said, it sent butterflies to his stomach, his knees weakened, and his face blushed,
"Syempre naman", casually said Ferdinand trying to hide his feelings, "Baka ma late ka sa shift mo", he added clearing the way for her,
"Sige, see you later doc, ilelebre mopa kami ng lunch", she said while looking back at him,
A sudden urge hit him, he felt that he needed to ask her the question that's been bugging his mind since that dream,
"Ah doc" he called, making Leonor turn to him again,
"One more thing", he said,
"Hmm?"
"Are you currently in a relationship?", his question strucked her,
Despite knowing the answer, it took her a moment to reply,
"No", she replied,
"So that means you're open?", he courageously asked, heart beats rapidly increasing,
"Yes, oo naman", she replied with a full spirit in her voice,"Why?".
Hearing her response, Ferdinand's spirit jolted, "I still have a chance", he said at the back of his head,
"Nothing", he muttered and chuckled with a mischievous smile pasted on his lip, and casually turned and walked happily.
Leonor was confused, it was random, she frowned while watching him enter his office.
