"How 'bout you?", Ferdinand asked after taking a sip of his wine.
"Why dont you have kids?"

"Well", Leonor started. She looked at him heartedly.
"Being a mother was the least of my plans"

Ferdinand sat up, his expression seemingly asking for Leonor to elaborate.

"Now, before you judge me" She chuckled and put down her utensils.
"I grew up without my parents around, I did not witness any mommy and daddy figure.  Lolo ko ang nagpalaki sa'kin. He didn't gave me the emotional things that a child might need, simply because he was focused to his own."

She didn't noticed but a lone tear fell from her eye.

"So I thought to my self, when I become a mother. I will give my child as much affection as I can possibly give. Para di n'ya maranasan ang mga bagay na dinaanan ko. But I was wrong, nag-aral ako't naging doktor. I got focused in my career, then I realized this is the life that I want, away from my past. The thought of being a mother vanished, not because I got busy, but because I don't know how to be one. A great one infact."

Leonor noticed that Ferdinand's gaze is locked to her.

"Sorry napaka emotional ko",She wiped the tears that was forming in the corners of her eyes, ready to race down any second.

"No its fine", he said, "I'm glad that you shared... it feels like you gave me a piece of you"

He then laid his palm on the table. Leonor looked at it confused.

"When I was a child" he started, his sight glued to his palm, "My mom and I used to daydream, we held each other's hand and narrated the things that we want to happen in our day dream"

He lifted his sight to her, his eyes bore the emotions that he felt that very moment.

"Would you like to try? Let's escape our reality for a moment and live in our own worlds where our faith depends in our own vague minds"

She hesitated for a moment, but his smile that was the sweetest of all made her hold his hand and closed her eyes.
He was glad that she agreed. The simple feeling of her soft palm was everything to him that moment.

"This world is your world" he began, "You are walking on the beach, the soft wind softly brushed agaist you white dress-"

"The waves touched my feet", she intervined which made Ferdinand look at her and smiled. He was pleased on how quickly she catched up.

"And the hues of the sun greeted my skin." Leonor continued.

"A man, who you consider your world came and hugged you from your back"
He added, she smirked.

"He made me so happy" she uttered, "and we watches our kids happily playing with the waters"

Little did she know, Ferdinand never closed his eyes and just stared at her for the whole time. In his mind, the man that Leonor mentioned was him, and the children they were happily glancing at was theirs.
