He was on his white longsleeves folded up to his elbow and tucked on his khaki trousers paired by his brown top siders. He sat there, patiently waiting while gazing to the vast sea. The soft romantic jazz and the soft hymms of the waves created an empeccable harmony. The candles were all lit as well as the soft yellow lights. Everything was perfect, and only one puzzle was missing.
He had the urge to turn his gaze to the hotel back door. And there, he saw the very missing puzzle that he was waiting for.

He saw his woman. Walking towards him.

Her simple yet elegant white dress made her look like an angel. The soft winds greeted against her making the hems of her dress dance and her hair gently brushed against her cheeks.  Every step that she took rhythmically coincided with his heartbeat.
He watched her, concluding that she was the other half that God made for him. The woman who will fill the gaps between his fingers. The woman that he want to see everytime he wakes up. The woman that he wants to spend the rest of his life with. His home. His other half.

"Sorry medjo late", Leornor spoke and planted a soft kiss on his cheek.

Flabergasted, Ferdinand could not reply immediately.

"Are you okay?" she asked after noticing that he was staring at her with his tears holding within the corners of his eyes.

"Uhm, y-yeah, of coarse" he snapped back and instantly stood up, pulling a chair for her, "Have a seat, mahal" , he uttered the last word softly, not enough for her to hear.

"Are you sure you're fine? Your eyes are teary"
She queued again upon sitting.

"Yes, yes" he reponded while wiping his tears with his thumb, "Probably because of the sand, they got into my eyes", he chuckled and sat down.
"Wine?" he offered.

"Sure" Leonor nodded. She can't help but smile upon noticing that her date was tensed. His nervousness was undeniable.

"Is there something on my face?" Ferdinand asked.

His question made Leonor chuckle, "Wala, its just, kinakabahan kaba?"

He slowly placed the wine down and put a worried expression.

"Halata ba?"

It made her chortle.

"Bakit kabado ka?", she said in a playfull voice.

He touched the stem of his wine glass and said: " I mean, sino bang hindi kakabahan when I'm having dinner with such a beautiful woman like you? It's too good to be true". His eyes tells it all. He wasn't being cheesy, he was sincere.

Leonor just replied with the sweetest smile. Her heart beat was rapid.

"You look exquisite tonight", Ferdinand added with the soft and serious voice that he had.

"You too, you look...hot...gorgeous" she sexily replied.

Their eyes met, amidst the cold soft winds, an unexplained sensation caused their body to be heated. None of them dared to break the gaze. Unfortunately, a staff approached them and served the appetizer. She looked away and took a sip of her wine, while he awkwardly faked a cough and thank the person who just served them.

The night went on and they chatted. Enjoying the courses that was served and the ambiance of the sea. The jazz continued to play and the lights kept the atmosphere cozy.

In between their conversation she asked,
"Why don't you have kids?"

The question caught him off guard. His smile turned into a smirk and he fixed his gaze on his plate.
She can't help but notice his sudden shift.

"Im sorry I didn't mean to-"

"Because I'm still waiting", he cut her, "Having kids, its nice, cute. Seeing little versions of you running around" he intimately looked at her. " But its a big step you know, You need someone to be with your side to raise them. And I still dont have that someone. I want my kids to have the best mother, I want them to feel that they're being loved in every moment of their life. I want someone who will shed light, not just for my kids, but also for me. I want a wife, that will help me show what love really is to my children. I want to give them the best"

"Have you found that someone?" Leonor softly qeued.

"Yes,  and it's you" He said at the back of his mind.
