The rays of the sun blinded Leonor for a moment, morning has broken already, and thankfully she had a full sleep after weeks of being deprived from it, she slept on her office's couch, it was nothing new to her for she refused to sleep in the hospital's on call room. She waited for a moment before she stood up, did a few stretch and changed from her scrubs to a casual clothing, "6:45", she checked her watch.
"Nasa hospital ka pa ba?", a text message from Riza lit her phone screen,
"Oo", she replied and resumed fixing her things before heading out,
"Nasa cafeteria ako", Riza responded followed by a picture of her with George Ferrero,
Leonor smiled as she saw George in the picture, she hastened her walk feeling exited to meet him.
"Doc!", a nurse called her while she was passing their counter, "Pinapa bigay po ni Doc. Rodriguez", she handed her a warm cup of coffee, "Dumaan po sya kanina, kaso tulog kapa, ayaw karaw pong maistorbo",
She read the sticky note that was sticked to the cup, "Hi good morning:)" , she turned around and hid her smile, the nurses noticed her gesture and just looked at each other in confusion,
"Thank you ha", she said to them and headed to the cafeteria.

"Ano bayan di ka parin sinasagot?", Riza asked George as she ate her food,
"Hindi pa, pero sige lang, hihintayin ko naman" George replied smiling,
Riza looked at him, she can see the genuine intention George has for Leonor, he has been courting her for over a year now, he was purely smitten by Leonor the moment he met her when they were at their 20's Fifteen years ago during a blind date at a library, purely set up by their friends as a prank. Little did they know, that prank was the beginning of their close friendship, close to the point where a lot of people assumed that they were seeing each other.
"Pero seryoso George", Riza opened, he looked at her confused, "You need to step up your game", she continued putting the utensils she was holding.
"Ha?", he uttered in confusion,
"May bagong manliligaw ata mahal mo", she spilled,
He was about to take a sip of his coffee but paused and sat straight the moment he heard what Riza said.
"Sinong-", he didn't finished his question as he saw his soon to be woman approaching their table. He smiled brightly, as his sight landed at her, "god, beautiful as ever", he said at the back of his head,
"Good morning", Leonor kissed his cheek and sat beside him,
"Ano gusto mong kainin? Ikukuha kita", he offered,
"Di na sa bahay nalang mag luluto ako", she said and placed the cup of coffee she was holding on the table,
He noticed the sticky note, his smile slowly faded,he recalled how Riza spilled that she might be having another suitor. Riza noticed his sudden reaction and slightly kicked him under the table and tried to tell him telepathically to shrug it. Leonor held George's hand and squeezed it softly,
"Wala yan", she said to him, she observed how his facial expression shifted the moment he saw the note, "Uy! Wala nga yan", she repeated and smiled at him, her smiles always captivates him, he would miss the world for it,
"Kanino yan nang galing?", he asked with a soft voice,
"Sa bagong co-worker", she replied not giving any meaning to it,
"Ah", he nodded and uttered coldly, it was inevitable for her not to notice his jealousy,
"George", she called,
He faced her and she immediately gave him a quick peck on his lips, seeing what she did, Riza choked on her water and hurriedly stood up, George's eyes widened, it caught him off guard, his heart was screaming in joy,it was the first time that she did that.
