Okay, Friday, A date

A date maybe?

Rodriguez could not feel his knees after uttering those words.
"What if she says no?"
"Is my timing bad?"
"For the love of heavens please say yes"
"Gusto ko nalang kainin ng lupa ngayon"

Numerous thoughts flooded his mind while waiting for her reply. Sweats were forming on his forehead despite the air conditioned room.

"You know...It's completely fine to say n-"

"Okay", she cut him, "Friday", she continued while picking up her handbag and hanging her white coat on her arm, "A date", Leonor walked near him and lightly tapped his shoulder, "Just the two of us".

Ferdinand could not immediately process. He stood there, cold sweated, unable to formulate a reply.

"I'll go first", she informed, "May nag hihintay eh"

"Huh? O-okay" was the only words that came out from him.

After the door closed behind her, Rodriguez let out a deep breath as if he was holding it for a long time.

"I never felt so nervous in my entire life", he muttered to his self while holding his chest.

8:30pm

His wide smiles were inevetable while he was booking their spot at the hotel lobby. His soft scoffs were constant as he was filling up the booking form.

"Exited tayo sir ah", the receptionist spoke after observing him for a while.

"Yeah, sobra", Ferdinand replied, pulling his wallet out of his pocket, "This is our first date" he added blushing.

"Ah kaya pala, parang mansanas ang pamumula mo sir", the lady at the counter responded while accepting Ferdinand's card.

"Siguro dahil sa exitement", he watched as his card was being swiped into the machine.

"Complete na po sir, tomorrow beach side at 7"
The receptionist spoke moments later and returned his card to him. "Goodluck po sa first date sir"

"Thank you", he smiled brightlt while accepting his card back.
