They all found themselves inside an empty conference room, all sitting in silence and faced down. only Joseph's footsteps were heard as he constantly paced around.
"What were you all thinking?" he said in dismay. "Nakakahiya"
The four doctors did not utter any words, they knew how screwed they were as the commotion earlier was captured in a video and was posted online. Fortunately for them, it was taken down. However, it became the talk of the day.
"You guys could've took it privately, hindi sa lobby!" The vice director lost his cool and raised his voice at them.
Leonor was sitting beside Ferdinand and was massaging her forehead thinking of ways to wrap the situation. Rodriguez on the other hand noticed his seat mate's deep thinking. Beneath the table, he held her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. This made her glance beside.
"I'll handle it" , he whispered.
She immediately shook his head and replied in the same manner. "No, you'll get in trouble"
"Concern ka ba sakin?" , A smirk appeared on his face.
"Of course yes, kaka appoint mo lang"
"Concerned ka dahil kaka appoint ko lang?", he sarcastically frowned, "Akala ko naman iba".
"Baket? Is there a different reason that I should be concerned instead?", A small smile broke from her lip while she responded. Seeing that small smile of her made him smile too.
"Ehem"
The two immediately shifted to their seats.
"Tapos na kayong dalawa?"
Joseph's glare was piercing right through their souls. Riza bit her lip to stop herself from laughing. Timbogch.
"Nak lumipat ka ng upuan", Joseph pointed at a chair that was a meter away from Ferdinand,
"Naks parang teacher lang", Riza said under her breath and made the president chortle.
"Nak", Joseph motioned again before Leonor stood up and seated across.
Once again the room was filled with silence, no one dared to say a word for the fact that they knew Joseph was dead frustrated and annoyed.
"Does anyone care to explain why four of my doctors became today's entertainment?"
The vice director's voice echoed through the room.
He was met with silence yet again.
"Wala akong pakealam kung sinong nag simula. Ang gusto ko lang malaman", he took a deep breath before continuing. "Bakit?"
Michael's guts crumbled, he knew he needed to cooperate or else his profession will be in peril. However this meant that what happened that night needs to be reiterated.
"It was all a misunderstanding doc",
"Misunderstanding my foot", Riza scoffed, she found the reason dumb and hypocritical. "So assault is a misunderstanding now?"
"Can you stop talking for once?", Michael glared at her.
"Oh I can", Riza crossed her arms. "Basta ikaw mauna".
Then, breaking Michael's patience, Riza spoke again. "Oh ano? Drop the formalities at sabihin mo kay tito Joseph yung kawalang hiyaan mo".
"Anong assult?Anong ginawa mo Miko?", Joseph queued but was ignored.
"You don't know the whole story", Michael said through gritted teeth.
"I know enough. Tarantado ka pala eh"
