Leonor was filling out the patient's death certificate when she felt a sudden tap on her shoulder,
"Hey"
She looked at the person, it was Dr. Riza Javier. Both of them were friends since the day they can remember , they went to different college universities to take a pre med course but ended up in the same med school.
"Uy" ", Romero answered and briefly glanced at her.
Silence followed, Riza leaned on the counter and minded her business.
"Kain tayo", Riza spoke after some time.
"Sige. Text ko si Michael".
Riza's eyebrows rose. "Naks naman, baka magka developan ha", She teased.
"Gaga, wala nayun", Leonor countered, putting her hands in her while coat's pocket.
"San tayo kakain" As if on cue, Michael Noblefranca emerged from an alley walking happily,
"Sa cafeteria nalang, tinatamad akong lumabas", Risa said while passing him,
"How 'bout you doc?", he asked Leonor,
"Sa cafeteria din, ang init sa labas", she answered without looking at him.
"Sayang, libre ko sana", Noblefranca said,
"Save mo nalang yan for later Miko", Riza replied, "Wala akong shift bukas, inom tayo mamaya libre mo", she added looking excited, Miko chuckled,
"Walang atrasan yan ah" he responded also looking excited, both of them looked at Dr.Romero, she dodged their stares and looked at the two,
"Ano?", she raised an eyebrow,
"Sama ka?", Javier slightly bumped her,
"Pass muna", she shook her head while entering the elevator. The three of them went in, Miko pressed the first floor button,
"Sama kana, minsan nga lang", He said,
"Oo nga, kaya walang love life eh, bahay at ospital lang ang ruta", Risa supported Miko. Leonor sighed,
"May duty ako mamayang gabi", she answered plain,"tsaka, sinong nag sabing wala akong love life?", she chuckled.Miko and Risa's eyes widened,
"Baket meron ba? Sino? Kayo na ba ni George?", Risa immediately bombarded her with questions, while Miko forced a smile while looking at them,
"Gaga", Romero chortled,unexpectedly, the elevator door opened, and revealed Ferdinand,
"Hi",
He immediately greeted as he saw Leonor, while flashing the sweet smile that he wore during their first meeting. Riza looked at him and immediately to Leonor, theorizing, she then took a step back, making a space for Rodriguez to step in.
