"It's an honour to meet you sir", a professor greeted as he shook Ferdinand's hand,
They were gathered after the meeting to formally introduce themselves to him, and to get at his good sides of course,
"And this is Professor Michael Noblefranca, the ace of Neurosurgery", Dr.Joseph, the vice director, presented and tapped Michael's shoulder,
"Ah,yes", Ferdinand affirmed, "We actually met weeks ago", he smiled at him and extended his hand which Miko gladly accepted,
"Pleased to meet you again doc", Michael replied in such manner that made Riza scoffed,
"Ang amo ha", she lightly leaned to Leonor, just enough for her to hear what she's saying,
"Nag papakabait ata", she said smirking.
They were standing just a distance away from Michael, waiting for the new president to get to them and finish the "introduction phase",
"Dr. Leonor Romero, also an ace-",
"Oh no need to introduce", Ferdinand interfered , "We know each other already", he added smiling, the very same smile,
"Really?", Joseph sounded delighted, "Then be good to her, para ko nang apo yan",
"Surely will doc", Ferdinand replied,
He looked at her, and their eyes met, it was enchanting for him, he froze, it felt like his world slowed down, and his heart was racing, he just started at her, admiring the natural beauty that she possesses, "beautiful" he said under his breath. His pacing out was inevitable, everyone in the room noticed,
"Doc", Joseph tapped his shoulder, and it brought him back to his senses, "Are you okay?", he asked, it took Ferdinand a second to reply,
"Uhm yes, of course", he then smiled awkwardly, and looked away,
"Okay as I was saying", Joseph continued, scanning though everyone in the room, "Welcome dinner tonight at 8, be there",

"Pupunta kaba?", Riza questioned her friend while they were in the cafeteria queue to get food,
"Kung free oo", Leonor replied plain while sliding her tray through the counter, it was the end of their conversation, the two of them were silent, and the background chattering and clanking of utensils were the only noise that traveled through their ears.
"Nag chat yung barkada", Leonor broke the silence as they were consuming their food,
"Oh tapos?" , Riza replied without looking at her and continued disassembling her pork cullet,
"Gusto daw mag bonding",
"Bahala sila, kayo nalang ayokong sumama", she replied in such annoyance,
"Eto naman, antagal na nun di ka paren nakaka move on", Leonor consoled,badly holding her will to laugh ,
"Sinong makaka move on, ikaw ba naman yung itutulak nalang bigla".
Riza was talking about their last bonding in Bohol, where they went cliff diving and they abruptly pushed her through the edge as a prank, making her unexpectedly fall through the deep waters. Leonor couldn't hold it, she laughed making Riza frown and annoyed even more.
"Happy natin ah", Michael said and placed his tray on the table,
"Gagang to nakakatawa ba yun?", Riza asked ,
"Ang alin?" Miko countered,
"Yung sa Bohol", Leonor said in between of her laughs,
"Ah oo!", he supported sounding so hyped, "Naiimagine ko paren muka mo until now" he teased while giggling. "Pero seryoso", his voice and expression suddenly turned serious, "Ako pasimuno nun, sorry",
"Alam ko tangina ka", Riza responded and harshly stabbed the pork cullet that was on Michael's tray,

Their day went as usual, rounds, check ups, surgery, meetings, anything that a doctor would do, a busy day indeed.
"Eto palitan mo to", she said while encircling a sentence from her resident doctor's thesis, "Eto rin", she encircled again, "Keep your insights precise, wag masyadong flowery", she advised while continuing to do more corrections,
"Yes po doc", the resident doctor replied while sitting opposite to where Leonor was seated,
"Here, ulitin mo, may mga reminders ako nilagay", she handed him the papers, she noticed the uneasy expression of the resident, he was stiff, "Kabado?" She asked,
"Opo doc" the resident nodded agreeing,
"Normal lang kabahan, edit mo yan tapos mag practice ka ng pag defence sa'kin", she offered while tapping his shoulder.
The resident nodded again and thanked her before heading out. She stood up from her seat, and did a few stretches, the view of the city from her office was overwhelming, the lights flickered as if they were close stars, and the distant honks accompanied the silence within the room. She let out a deep sigh, staring through the window, for no reason,she felt a sudden sadness within her, a knock was heard,
"Bukas yan", she said while her back turned against the door,
"Tara sabay na tayo", a man spoke, she turned to see who it was, it was just Michael,
"Baket? San tayo pupunta?", she asked confused,
"Welcome dinner remember?", Miko informed. Leonor was so occupied to the point that she totally forgot about it,
"Ay oo wait lang", she hurriedly went to the comfort room to change, "15 minutes!", she shouted from the other side,
"Mag hihintay ako sa parking lot!", Miko also shouted for her to hear.
