ZILLA

I was restless the rest of the night, shedding tears. None of them, unfortunately, sought to bring me anything. Perhaps they just knew it was up to me to reconcile. Particularly in light of what they had been doing to me.

I firmly thought I was going to get killed. Even when I told God Armaros to slay me, it was all in good humor! I was frightened to death underneath it all. I don't want to die just yet.

"Come out." I rolled my eyes and added, "I know you're here."

Aella popped up in a second after saying that and rushed over to me. She had some of my favorite foods in her hands.

"Zilla, don't be angry and frustrated at me any further. You realize I can't disobey your father's commands, right?" Aella said as she sat next me and handed me food.

"I almost died, Aella." I informed her genuinely.

She fully understands I can't stand her for more than an hour. We have arguments and whatnot, but I pardon her right away because she is all I have. But I'm displeased and unhappy right now because of what she did. I felt completely wronged.

"But, you didn't, did you?" As she holds on to me, Aella murmured, "You even overthrow an ancient God."

"What?" I muttered grumpily, rolling my eyes at her.

"Please accept my apologies, Zilla." She lifted her hand and said, "I swear, I won't do that again."

I reminded her, rolling my eyes at her, "You know I can't remain upset at you for even an hour."

She laughed as she ate the foods, she had brought with her.

"Congratulations, you've actually managed it! You totally ignored me the whole night." Aella teased.

I merely shrugged and grabbed some of the food she had brought. Since last night, I've been starving. That's what irritates me even further. Nobody bothered to bring me any food. How could they let me go hungry?

"Lord Lowell has been actually staying on the outskirts of the fortress. Are you still reluctant to speak with him?" Aella abruptly stated.

I gazed at her, but she quickly averted her attention and resumed her meal.

"Well, that's what I was just saying. You could perhaps realize that he's genuinely remorseful. He's been outside since last night. He expected several demons to attack you, but your body is too frail because you used up all of your powers fighting the ancient demon. So, he insisted to stay here and guard you." Aella explained.

So, do I need to be grateful? It's all his fault. I told him not to take me there yet since my abilities are insufficient and I am not yet ready. But what did he actually do? He persisted, and look where that got us.

"Speak to him as well, Zilla." Aella advised, "He really wants to speak with you."

I took a deep breath. I frowned and raised my eyebrows. But I can't just walk away from him indefinitely, can I?

I ordered Aella, "Let him in."

She chuckled and sprinted away, opening the door. Lord Lowell was seated on the stairway.

Did he spend the entire night there, freezing cold?

He called me, "Zilla."

Then again, one of his powers is fire. He would not, under any circumstances, simply freeze outdoors.
