ZILLA
"You need to get up, Zilla."
I was awakened by a familiar voice, which caused my eyebrows to furrow. I opened my eyes, but nobody was there.
"Zilla, they need you now."
I looked around to see where the sound was emanating from, but I was unable to. I guess it came from my consciousness.
Aella swung into my chamber in a flash, slamming the door behind her as she struggled to breathe.
I queried in shock, "Aella, what's going on?"
Aella responded, "The realms are literally in such huge mayhem, Zilla."
"What do you mean?" I wondered aloud, looking forward to hearing more details so I could better grasp what was currently happening and know what else to do.
Why did the realms suddenly descend into ruins? What would they try to do right now with the sudden mayhem?
Aella said, "The Palace of Rouguemont is also under threat. Demons have descended to the mortals and begun a mayhem there."
I jumped out of bed right away and rushed for the scimitar which Lord Red had given me. I flicked my fingers and quickly changed into something that will fit a battle.
I told Aella, "Descend to the Palace of Rouguemont and rescue them there; I'll be right after you; I just need to go down to the mortal realm and save them."
"But, Zilla—"
I interrupted her, "Just do as I say Aella. I promise I'll be there. Take a good care of yourself."
We both vanished with a flick of my fingers. As for me, I did go down to the world of mortals after sending her to the Palace of Rouguemont.
It is in mayhem, just as Aella had briefed me. There have been many fires and many demon-created entities. Help is needed, humans are begging. My heart is heavy, just as it did all those years ago.
I flew overhead and slashed my hand while drawing my scimitar. The ground was beginning to get soaked with my blood. I could feel its agony, but what pained more was the mayhem I now saw in the mortal realm.
"Let this lifeblood of mine mend their afflictions, bestow them long life, and hold them away from harm. I, Goddess Zilla, vow to save the entire realm of humankind."
I put my hand up and let the wind carried my blood's drips to the humans, allowing them to live.
I've watched the other demonic creatures try to approach me and attack me while inhaling my blood. However, I quickly formed a shield to turn them away from me.
I turned to check on the mortals and found that they were doing fine—far better than they had been earlier—so I flicked my fingers and used my powers to build a protective layer to hide them from the adversaries' sight.
Soon after, I swiftly knelt to the ground, slashed my palms once again, and let my blood drip into the scimitar before smashing the field with a powerful blow that instantly dispatched all of the attackers.
Thereafter I rescued the mortals and knowing that I had kept them safe, I rushed back to the Palace of Rouguemont. I was stunned to discover out that the palace is at its most defenseless state.
How did the Palace of Rouguemont get to be so helpless?
"I'll give up my life to guarantee the integrity of the divine realm."
