ZILLA
Countless things have been happening from that day on. Months have passed, and neither of us ever bothered to talk about what happened. We all just wished to get on with our lives. As for me, I've settled down at The Herst Keep Palace and am preoccupied about my condition.
I've started ceaselessly skilling myself with different weapons as well as reading books which would better inform me about anything else. I promised myself that instead of focusing over my own sentiments, I now must focus solely on how I will be prepared to save us all when the time finally comes.
Lord Red has been coming all the way here to lecture and prepare me since then. Despite the fact that we had become closer and closer, he hasn't ever stripped away his mask. I've thought about asking him, but I believe it would be disrespectful of me to force him. Matter of fact, I'd be overjoyed if he would be willing to remove his mask and reveal himself on his own one day.
"Zilla, your father has arrived." Aella said as she approached me at the pavilion, where I was invested in a sword match with Lord Haniel.
Yeah of course, Lord Haniel has also been around for a while now. He's been paying Aella visits, and their bond has survived the test of time and going deeper than ever before. At the very least, I'm comforted that Aella has ended up finding someone who will look after her now and, in the years, ahead.
My father approached me and embraced me, asking, "How have you been, my daughter?"
"I think I'm still pretty?" I remarked, laughing a little.
As he let go of the embrace, I got to hear him chuckle.
"How are you doing? Are you sure you choose to continue living here? You can return to Rouguemont Palace—"
"And end up hurting myself?" I asked, interrupting him.
I'm not foolishly in love enough to torment myself every day by witnessing their relationship bloom. I'd go there anyway if they needed my help and support. However, I've remembered hearing that the Palace of Rouguemont is currently at peace. So, I don't have to be concerned.
My father called out to me, "Zilla."
But all I did was smile and nod my head.
"If someone needs me, I can make the journey there for a while and help father." I assured him, "However for the time being, the realms have been at true peace for a lot longer after what occurred in the past."
As he stroked my hair, he beamed at me.
He said, "Just as you wish, my dear."
He stepped back and turned to face Lord Haniel and Lord Red.
"Greetings, God Arkiel." They said simultaneously.
My father teased them, "It has been such a long period of time since I have seen Gods relentlessly pursue Goddesses." and Aella started laughing behind me.
"What Gods, father? It's just Lord Haniel; why would you include Lord Red?" I objected.
My father remarked me, "I suppose my child is overwhelmed by sorrow because she doesn't really seem to realize any of it." which prompted me to roll my eyes at him.
They were all laughing, which irked me.
"But, Lord Red, may I have a word with you?" My father asked abruptly.
As I came to rest, I asked my father, "Why? Perhaps there is something way off base?"
"Nothing. It's simply a conversation." My father explained.
