My parents were already informed that I would be taking a magical way to get there, and that I would return about tomorrow evening. After the ball, I was planning on staying with Theo for a while, having Blaise come over too.
Moose had been chewing on a quill that I set in my desk, while Faris was guarding my box if chocolates I had gotten from Blaise. I had to arrive at the ball at eight, so I was planning on being at Theo's at seven, full-proofing the plan would take a while.
Looking back at the time, it said 7:30, I should probably get going now then. The more time we have, the better. Grabbing a jacket from the back of my chair, I bid my farewell to Moose and Faris, then rushed down the stairs to said goodbye to my parents and sister for the evening along with tomorrow morning.
''Hey, I've got to get going.'' I announced to the three. Mum got up, raised her arms and embraced me in a hug. Dad followed, and then Hermione.
''We're going to miss you.'' Mum said, after everyone let go of hugging me.
''We really are, sis.'' Hermione added.
''Don't worry, I'll be back tomorrow. It'll be like nothing.'' I shrugged. ''But for now, I have to get going. I really don't feel like being late.'' I told them, walking towards the door. As the door opened, the cold wind hit my bare skin, so I pulled on my jacket and zipped it up.
I didn't know exactly where the Knight Bus would be coming from, so I walked down the sidewalk a little until I found the spot that Hagrid took Hermione and I. My hood was up and my hands were shoved into the pockets of my jacket, the front of the jacket was up over my nose. When I made it to the spot where Hagrid took Hermione and I, I had stopped and looked around, into to see nothing but snow.
Sighing, I turned around a couple more times, looking for the zooming purple bus.
''Welcome to the Knight Bus.'' I heard from behind me. When I turned back around, I seen Stan leaning against the side of the bus with a teasing smile on his face.
''Stan, nice to see you!'' I greeted the man, giving him a quick hug.
''And you, Y/n. Where to tonight, eh?''
''Nott Mansion. You can take me there, right?'' I asked, walking down the isle with Stan following close behind.
''Of course, we aren't magical transport for nothing.'' Stan replied. I chuckled at his reply, sitting down on an unused bed at the front of the bus. Knocking on the window – where the driver was sitting – he said the location, 'Nott Mansion'.
''Say, what are you doing at Nott Mansion?'' Stan asked, crossing his arms and leaning his side against the bed post.
''Visiting a friend.'' I answered simply, looking over at Stan. Stan had a smug look on his face with a small smirk playing at the corner of his lips. ''Not like that!'' I corrected. Stan laughed, then I continued. ''Two friends of mine are sneaking myself into the Malfoy's Christmas Ball.''
