I hadn't done the same. Instead, I sat on the couch and waited for Teddy to get done upstairs.
Leaning forward with my elbows against my knees, I brought my hands together and leaned my forehead against them. Draco's words had still rung through my head. Astoria is dead. And it's very clear that he has a child. Otherwise, he wouldn't be at King's Cross.
And as I sat on the couch, I tried to think of some excuse of not to go. Maybe I could say that I suddenly had a work thing come up, and we weren't able to make it to dinner. Then again, we would just have to get invited another day. But with those excuses, I also thought about what would happen when we did arrive.
Where did he live anyway? Surely, not some abandoned shack on the side of the road. I know Draco too well, he would t settle for something that low.
''I'm ready!'' Teddy called from the top of his stairs, running out of his room and closing the door behind him. No matter the situation, Teddy always seemed to brighten the mood.
''All right.'' I nodded, hands against my knees as I stood up. ''Let's get going, shall we?''
Teddy nodded and practically jumped the whole staircase. His hair turning different shades of yellow. A few tiny strands had been gray, with larger portions also being a blue. He was nervous, but also happy to be leaving the house.
''Are we taking the motorcycle?'' He asked happily.
''We should Apparate.'' I shrugged, grabbing my house keys. Teddy had pouted, bringing his bottom lip out a tad. ''Because it's easier and because it is broken.''
At this, Teddy raised a brow.
''Yeah, it's better not to question.''
I waved my hand in his direction, opening the door for him to walk out. He smiled up at the sky, which was covered with grey clouds. Not an intimidating gray, more of a calming gray. It was nice. I locked the door behind us, placing a hand on Teddy's shoulder before I Apparated to where the address had told us.
There was a loud crack and we were off. The dizziness had reached my head, but I had pushed it away. After you've been Apparating a few times, it doesn't seem to bother you much anymore. Teddy didn't seem to have problems with it either. He's been Apparating with me for a while now.
When my feet had touched solid ground, I took my hand off of Teddy's shoulder. He was faced the opposite direction, a huge smile across his face and awestruck eyes. He tugged my sleeve, glancing at me before turning back forward.
