𝗗𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗼 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱. When I woke up this morning, I found him on the couch, on his stomach, staring out the window. It was raining, that's when the atmosphere looked best. The drops of rain flowing down the leaves and into the ground. Each raindrop falling against the glass and trying to reach the bottom, as if it was a race.

Even though he hasn't said anything, I knew that he knew I was in the room. His arms tucked under his head. If I could, I would sit and watch the rain fall from the sky all day long. But, I couldn't. I had to get things done today. It was the weekend, so I had some time off from work while other people had taken my shift.

I moved into the kitchen to start something simple for breakfast. Now I know how Molly felt whenever she was making breakfast for her family. That only made me think back around to Fred, so I quickly shook that thought away.

I decided to just make some quick and easy pancakes, since I had a craving for the certain food. Draco hadn't moved from the couch, still staring out at the rain. I remembered when he was scared of lightening. He would jump each time the thunder clapped, signifying another strike of light hitting the ground.

Even though there wasn't any lightening, I could still imagine Draco jumping from the window at the sight of a stricken light. Though, that never happened.

I was flipping one of the pancakes when a bird had flown to the kitchen window. An owl, specifically. A smile grew on my face, already knowing who it was from. I gave the owl an owl treat that I had lying on the counter - for when the owls do visit. The bird took it and flew off. Poor thing, having to fly in the rain.

Thankfully, the letter wasn't wet.

I slowly tore open the top, trying not to rip it more then I needed to. The red wax stamp had showed the Hogwarts crest, the four houses inside. Slytherin, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff.

Hey Mum,

Today, Professor Slughorn had told us a bit about Amortentia. Though, we won't actually being doing anything with it until sixth year. It's so far away.

Albus and Scorpius are doing just fine. We got in trouble again for sneaking into the Kitchens. Filch had caught us before we got there. Mrs. Norris was smug about it. As a punishment, we had to go around and polish the floors. As if he hasn't noticed the amount of hallways and staircases that Hogwarts has.

Maybe we just need a better plan to get to the Kitchens.

Anyway, besides that, everything is amazing here! Professor McGonagall made an announcement that Quidditch Tryouts will be held soon. I wanted to try, but I don't know if they would let me. You said that you played Quidditch in your first year, right?
