Night wood

Thank god someone finally said it. Of course I wanna get out of here!

Maging ang lalamunan ko ay nanuyo na sa init na nararamdaman. My voice ended up coming out hoarse.

"Yes.." Oh god, yes! I almost screamed. I just don't have the energy anymore. I seriously need to get out of here before I die out of suffocation.

Mas lalong pumungay ang tila lasing niyang mga mata. His gaze dropped on my lips. Then back on my eyes— before it returned back down.

I then felt his hands on my waist. Marahil para hindi ako matumba dahil sa tulakan at siksikan. What a gentleman.

He even carefully encircled his right arm around my back as we go on our way. We didn't prolong our suffering and decided to get the hell out of what it seems like a stampede to me.

Hindi na nawala ang pagkakaalalay sakin ni Davion hanggang makalabas kami. He's been all over me since I said yes and I seriously have no words for his courteousness! Ngayon ko napatunayang mabuting tao talaga siya— hindi lang sa mga kaibigan niya.

Patungo na kami sa parking space nang mapagtanto kong wala akong dalang gamit. Lahat ay naiwan ko sa table namin.

I shrugged and didn't make it much of a big deal. I'm pretty sure Maxine and her friends will take care of it. Besides, there's no way I'm getting back inside that hell hole!

"You sure?" ani Davion nang mabanggit ko ang tungkol doon. I nodded and told him it's fine.

We're just about to get inside his car when he threw me a question.

"Your place or mine?"

Natigilan ako sa tanong niya.

Come to think of it. Coming straight home right now isn't such a good idea. Maaga pa kaya't tiyak na gising pa ang parents ko. Sa oras na madatnan nila ako sa ganitong estado ay malalagot ako! I reek of alcohol! I don't even have my belongings with me!

"Yours," I instantly said as soon as I made up my mind.

It's only now that I realize how kind enough he is to actually offer his place. Not everyone would do that for a mere acquaintance! Hindi maiwasang maantig ng puso ko. I don't think I can thank him enough for this. What a thoughtful young man! He's like my good samaritan!

"I thought sa Calle Nueva tayo?" tanong ko nang mapansing ibang ruta ang tinahak niya. I haven't really been there but I know for sure how to get there.

"No. Hindi ako nagdadala ng babae sa bahay," he straightly said as he expertly maneuvered the steering wheel. Halatang maagang nahasa sa pagmamaneho ang isang ito.

Kumunot ang noo ko sa pagkalito matapos ang sinabi niya. "Then? Where are we heading pala?"

He mentioned a familiar residencial tower. Alam kong luxurious dahil nakarating na ako roon para sa isang event ni Daddy noon. Turns out, Davion has his own unit there.

Nagulat pa ko nang isang malaking kama lang ang abutan namin sa eleganteng silid. There's a couch but it's not suitable for sleeping. I guess we'll be sharing the bed for the night, then?

I shrugged. I don't mind. May mga unan naman upang ipangharang sa gitna.

"Do you wanna shower first?" paos na wika niya matapos buksan ang ilaw at iset ang temperature ng kwarto. I noticed the first few buttons of his polo are now open.

"Hmm.. you go first. Ipapahinga ko muna ang feet ko," sagot ko dahil masyado ring nangalay ang binti sa kakatayo. My high-heeled shoes are killing me.

Pumungay ang mga mata niya at sumang-ayon.
