Sa susunod na lang

Davion wasn't kidding when he said that. Matapos ang isang buwan ng pagiging grounded ay totoong hinayaan niya 'kong tawagan siya tuwing kailangan ko ng kasamang magshopping. He always comes when I ask him to but he's also very firm in saying no if he's playing, busy, or has prior plans.

My parents have been very vocal about how pleased they are that me and Davion seem to be spending more time with each other. Mabuti naman daw at marunong akong pumili ng kakaibiganin. Atleast there's one thing I'm good at, they say. They even let him take me home from school when there's no available driver to come pick me up.

But the more he frequents in our place, the more he gets to witness all kinds of fiascos at home too.

"Solasta! Kinakausap pa kita!"

My Father's voice thundered as I walked out of the living room. Halos mawala ang itim sa mata ko nang umirap at walang pakeng nagpatuloy sa padabog na pag-akyat sa hagdan. May dagundong sa bawat hakbang.

Hindi ako makapaniwalang siya pa ang may ganang magalit gayong ako itong may sama ng loob! I told them yesterday that they should fetch me from school today coz my Adviser need to talk to them about the trouble I caused the other day. Pero hindi sila nagpakita at nagtext lang na sumabay na lang ako kay Davion dahil pareho silang abala. Sa susunod na lang daw nila kakausapin ang Adviser ko.

I slammed the door real hard when I reached my room. Ngunit hindi rin nagtagal ay bumukas ito.

"Sa ginagawa mo ay magagrounded ka lang ulit, Solace.."

I heard Davion's voice from behind. Umikot ang mata ko. I'm sure my Dad told him to come after me para pagsabihan ako. He always do as my parents say especially Mom.

"I don't care,"

He sighed. "Why do you keep on making troubles? Kung gusto mong makuha ang atensyon nila, may ibang paraan—"

"Shut up!"

As if anything would change! Ang totoo niyan, kaya lang naman ako gumawa ng eksena sa school ay dahil hindi na naman umattend ang parents ko sa contest ko noong nakaraan. They came to see my Sister's competition but couldn't even spare a couple of minutes to watch mine!

"What do you wanna do then? Nag-aalala sayo ang Daddy mo, Solace. He asked me to check on you..." bumuntong-hininga siya. "Should I tell him you need some rest?"

"No!" agad na sabi ko. I didn't like the idea. "I wanna get out of here. Let's go shopping!"

He shook his head. "I can't right now. May lakad pa 'ko... Manonood kami ng game ni Adea,"

Well, that's non-negotiable so I couldn't insist any further. Malaki ang paghanga ko sa samahan nilang magkakaibigan simula pa lang. Natutuwa nga 'ko tuwing magkakasama sila. I'm always fascinated by their friendship and the bond they have.

Davion said he'll just go with me next time. It seems like he feels bad for saying no when I'm not even upset to begin with. Excited pa nga ako para sa kanila!

My mood has gotten a little better in the evening. Mula nang umalis si Davion ay nasa kwarto lang naman ako. Baka kasi sumama pa ulit ang timpla ko kapag nakita ang kahit sino sa pamilya. I just locked myself in the room and let the maids bring me everything I need.

Wala akong kahit sinong kinausap sa bahay hanggang sa pagpasok sa school kinabukasan. I've given everyone at home the silent treatment. It feels nice to be the one who ignores them for once. Magaan ang pakiramdam ko habang binabaybay ang school grounds.
