Damn Me
I was able to visit during the groundbreaking but I couldn't stay for long since kailangan ako sa head office sa Manila. I had members of the team assigned in Cebu to oversee the progress.
"Raya, I just saw the estimated number of the entourage.
Weddings are not our usual market so I'm both nervous and excited to do this! I'm already over the moon just by imagining her wearing the wedding dress that I'll be making myself!
"Really? I'm not sure... Itatanong ko kay Cal," aniya.
Napangisi ako. I find it amusing na sa kanilang dalawa ay si Cal pa ang mas abala tungkol sa kasal. I heard from my assistant na si Cal nga raw ang nagpadala ng files. I just opted to call Raya because I miss her.
Nagpaalam ito para tawagan si Cal but I told her I'd call her fiancé myself.
"Ah, yes! Ten bridesmaids and nine groomsmen," sagot ni Cal sa tanong ko over the phone.
"What? But we get the measurements of the clients ourselves para masiguro ang accuracy," I alarmingly said as a matter-of-fact. Pag nagkataon ay first time naming makakaencounter ng ganito for a customized order. Kami lagi ang nagsusukat kapag personalized ang items. I don't want to mess this up. I want everything to be perfect for Raya's wedding!
"Yeah.. It just happened to be that way.. I guess he's also busy so..." I can almost hear him trying his best to dismiss the topic. "Don't worry... wait, I'll send you the measurements. It's actually very detailed, looks complete and accurate naman.. Here, check it out.. I just sent it to you,"
True to his words, kumpleto ang measurements pati na ang lahat ng detalyeng kailangan namin. Merong actual at meron ding may window for allowance. Indeed, everything we need was already there. I can tell that a professional took the measurements and summarized this.
Bumuntong-hininga ako at hindi na nagpumilit pa. I don't wanna make a big deal out of this. So I think it's better not to ask any further or insist on anything.
Austin picked me up around 6PM. We were about to head to my house as usual when I remembered the Investors Summit that I'll be attending this weekend.
"Nga pala, what are you doing on Saturday?"
He thought about it for a moment before answering. "Wala naman.. Bakit?"
"Great! Let's make a quick stop at the mall." I grinned. "I have to pick up a few things,"
I want to make a good impression and impress them.
