Slambook
It was a lazy Sunday morning and I was still in my pajamas when I half-consciously made my way to the kitchen. I'm dying to have some water enter my system. My throat is dry as fuck from another silent crying sesh last night.
"What the hell?"
I turned around only to see Davion grinning in satisfaction at my reaction. Damn this guy had totally seen all the worst in me. I can never let him be anywhere near my future boyfriend.
"Muntik na kitang hindi makilala," he said between chuckles while still making fun of how I look from head to toe.
"Coming from you na mukhang naligo sa pawis?" kulang na lang ay malukot sa pandidiri ang mukha ko habang minamata siya mula ulo hanggang paa. "What are you even doing here? It's a freaking Sunday! Last time I checked, every Saturday lang ang workshop nyo rito."
He's been everywhere the past few days and I honestly had no choice but to put up with his presence just to avoid being around my parents. I don't even ride home with our driver just to piss them off.
In case you don't know, ganito ang itsura ng taong kakatapos lang magworkout. First time mo ata makakita eh... Mukha ka pa namang allergic sa pawis at sa kahit anong bagay na nakakapawis,"
He let out some sly chuckle at the last statement for some reason. As if something interesting crossed his mind.
"Who leaves the gym looking like that? Kadiri! You should've changed right after," Ugh! I can't even dwell on the idea of how much germs must have crept into his skin on the way here.
"Sinadya ko talagang wag magbihis no," he smirked. "I have a crush on this new cashier sa convenience store outside your subdivision and she seems to like my post-workout look so..."
I winced. One, because of the word 'crush'. Two, because he's telling me that some girl actually likes this kind of look? Really?
"What made you think so?" I asked, disgusted.
Nagkibit siya. "She can't take her eyes off of me the last time I came in looking like this to grab some Monster," he was referring to that energy drink he's obsessed with.
"Ew, no way. I bet she just liked the fit on you, but not the sweaty post-workout look. Yuck! Kadiri! Kung ako yon iisipin ko ang dirty dirty mo as a person,"
Hindi ko alam kung bat natatawa na naman sya. "Ang arte mo,"
"I'm serious! If I were her, I wouldn't even think of dating you if you keep on coming back looking like a lousy basketball player na hindi nagtetake-a-bath,"
Humagalpak siyang muli and it made my brows furrowed. He seems to somehow take my words more seriously this time, though. Seryoso naman kasi talaga 'ko.
"You think so?" maya-maya'y wika niya nang matunawan.
"Yes! You better shower now, before you actually see her," malakas na nagdaop ang mga palad ko kasabay ng pagtayo ko nang maayos. Suddenly, there's eagerness rushing through my veins. "Tell me, what were you wearing the last time?"
"Just a dri-fit black shirt and workout shorts," may bahid pa ng pagtataka sa mukha niya nang idetalye iyon sa akin.
My pointy finger was resting on the corner of my lips as I think. This won't do. "Do you have some spare gym clothes with you right now?"
