Friday rolled around and that sadly meant that it came time for me to go back to work. I have classes Monday-Thursday so I can only work Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Before applying to college I secured a job at some coffee shop in the food area near the school, figuring it was a decent way to make some money. My parents make enough money to where they pay for my college but I wanted to make some money myself to have for things that I may want to get in the future.
When my alarm went off I went to change into my work uniform and went out to the living room, wanting to relax a couple minutes before I head to work. "Hey Bakubro, you want something to eat before you go to work?" Kirishima asked as I headed over to the couch.
"No, I'm good. I just wanna relax for a couple minutes." I responded, lying down on the couch face first. A little while after my alarm telling me that it's time to leave went off. I reluctantly pulled myself off the couch and headed out the door.
15 minutes later I was walking through the door of the coffee shop, 10 minutes early to my shift like usual. I went to the back and clocked in before going out to the counter to replace whoever was currently working.
There were a couple orders that were currently being made so I helped out with that while there was nobody in line. There are usually only 2 people working at a time so we usually take turns taking orders and making drinks, sometimes helping eachother make drinks when there isn't a line.
A couple hours into my shift and things were really slow, slower than usual. My coworker, Mina, and I got bored really quickly so we started fucking around. We decided on playing a game where we had to make a drink for the other person and they had to guess what was in it. She said she saw it on YouTube so I didn't question it farther.
Half way into my turn the bell rings, meaning somebody's walked in. I headed to the front to take their order, noticing a very familiar head of purple hair coming towards me. "What're you doing here?" I asked once he was at the counter.
"Getting coffee? I usually come in between classes but I got bored and wanted coffee. I didn't know you worked here." Shinso replied.
"I only work weekends, what do you want?"
"Large coffee, black." Shinso said.
I looked at him in slight disgust. "That shit tastes disgusting, $4.95." I replied, Shinso already handing me the cash to pay for his drink.
"Maybe, it keeps me awake though." I handed Shinso his change and went back to make his coffee, not wanting Mina to do it. For some reason my brain wanted me to be the one to do it, I'm not questioning that right now though.
I had Shinso's drink out fairly fast seeing as it was only a coffee with nothing in it. I handed it to him and he thanked me before heading towards the door. "Wait," I called out, making him stop and look back at me. "Come back tomorrow, I work 1-7, I'll make you a real fucking drink."
Shinso smiled and let out a small laugh that made my heart skip a beat. "Yeah, sure. I'll be here." Shinso said before walking out the door. Once he was gone I made sure nobody else was coming in then went back to mess around with Mina until the next costumer came in.

The following day I didn't really expect Shinso to actually come back. I had hoped he would but I was full blown expecting him to forget about it. This is why I was surprised when I saw his all too familiar purple hair walk through the door. There was a small line in front of him so I tried my best to quickly get through them so I could get to Shinso.
When it was finally his turn he walked up to the counter, a smile on his face. "So, what's this real drink you're making me get?"
I smiled, "Oh, you'll fucking see. You're going to love it so much that you'll regret ever drinking that nasty bland shit."
Shinso laughed, "How much is it?"
"Don't worry about it. Consider this me changing your world for the better, therefore it's only right for the first one to be on the house." I replied. Shinso seemed reluctant but didn't fight. Once I had everything rung up I went to the back and swapped places with Mina.
Once I got through the other orders I put all of my focus into making Shinso's drink. I wanted it to be perfect. About 5 minutes later I had it finished and walked it out to him, his expression questioning. There was nobody else behind him so I took the opportunity to interrogate him about it.
"So? Is it better than that disgusting coffee you usually get?" I asked after he had his first taste of it.
When he looked up at me he had a slight shine in his eye that made my face heat up. "Yeah, actually. It's really good, what is it?"
"If I'm not here when you order it just say you want a cappuccino with caramel and extra espresso. You said you liked that black coffee kept you awake so I figured having a good amount of espresso in it would help." I said.
Shinso gave me a bright smile, once again making my face heat up. "Thank you, I'm glad I decided to trust you on this."
I was about to respond when Mina came over, "Sorry to break this up but I need your help Bakugo, someone just placed a huge mobile order and we need it done in 20 minutes." She explained before walking away.
I sighed and turned back to Shinso, "Sorry, I have to get back to work. I'll see you Tuesday." I said before following Mina, hearing Shinso thank me one last time before walking out the door. There's something about him that's making me feel so different than everyone else does. I need to figure out why before it drives me mad.
