The last week of classes flew by fairly quickly and our 2 week break started before we knew it. 2 weeks is a seriously short break but I'll honestly take whatever I can get at this point, I'm just happy I have off work for the entirety of break. It took way too much fucking convincing to get off but it managed to work out so I get to spend every day with Hitoshi, I'm fairly excited.
Hitoshi and I have been staying with his parents since break started 5 days ago, his dads were happy to let me stay and his little sister is ecstatic. She's been dragging me off to her room at least once a day so I can play dolls or something with her, every now and then dragging Hitoshi along aswell if she wants more people.
Today was one of the days that Eri wanted me to play with her practically all day. I've been with her for a few hours, Hitoshi being left in the living room with his dads. Eri currently had me playing some princess tea party game she came up with. She had me sat down at a small table surrounded by her and her dolls, a plastic tiara placed on my head that I wasn't allowed to take off.
You may be asking why I continue to do what she wishes and I honestly question it myself sometimes. I usually have to remind myself that my kid's going to be here in a little over 4 months. I'm an only child so I have zero experience with children so I 100% need the practice so I know how to somewhat deal with them. Plus, I guess I don't completely hate it, Eri keeps things interesting enough.
"Would you like some more tea Prince Bakugo?" Eri asked me, a big smile on her face while she held her plastic tea pot in her hands.
"I would love some Queen Eri, thank you for your generous offer." I replied, making Eri laugh. She pretended to refill my cup then turned to her dolls asking if they wanted more aswell. As she was doing this there was a knock on the door, Hitoshi walking in minutes later.
"Why are you here? You aren't on the guest list." Eri said, glaring at Hitoshi.
"I apologize my lady, I request Prince Bakugo for a few moments if that's alright." Hitoshi replied with a slight bow.
Eri laughed, "I suppose I'll allow it."
"Very appreciated my lady." Hitoshi said, motioning for me to meet him outside the door. I took off the tiara then got up, going right up to Hitoshi and resting my head against his shoulder. "You alright Kat?"
"Your sister drains me, I needed a break." I replied, putting my arms around him.
Hitoshi laughed and kissed my head, "Lucky for you I'm here to save you. I wanted to take you to the mall to do a little shopping for bigger clothes, I know yours don't fit you anymore and mine probably won't soon either."
I sighed, "I guess we should do that. You go tell your sister, I'm going to put on different clothes." I said, pulling away from him and going into his room. About 15 minutes later I met Hitoshi in the living room. Hitoshi grabbed his keys then we went out to the car and took off. The entire drive to the mall I was off in my own world, just staring out the window and watching everything go by until Hitoshi shook me back to reality when we got there.
Hitoshi took me right to the store that he knows I usually get my clothes from. I went to the hoodies and sweatpants first as I wanted to wear them for as long as possible, they were the most comfortable to wear. It was mid December now so I still had a few months that I could actually wear them. I then went to the t shirts to pick out a few things to sleep in and for spring then went to grab a few pairs of shorts.
Once I picked out what I wanted Hitoshi and I walked up to the register to pay for everything. I offered money to help pay for it but Hitoshi refused, insisting that he wanted to buy them for me. I wanted to fight him on it but was too drained, letting him pay for everything in the end and feeling guilty for it instantly.
Hitoshi wanted to walk around for a little while longer so we started venturing the mall. A while after walking we came across a store that sold baby stuff and I practically dragged Hitoshi into the store. We haven't gotten shit for the brat yet so I wanted to get at least a couple things to get started.
As I was walking through the store, Hitoshi right behind me, I found a few toys and clothes that I wanted to get. Since I didn't care about gender shit I just picked what I liked and that's what they're going to wear. Hitoshi ended up grabbing a few things along the way aswell, showing off every single thing to me as I continued to browse.
As we were finishing up in the store I couldn't help but smile at how excited Hitoshi actually was. The smile he had on his face as he was looking through what they had made my heart skip a beat, it made me realize just how worth it this thing would be.
When we got to the register and the cashier gave us our total. I quickly slid in front of Hitoshi and put my card into the machine, not giving him the chance to pay for anything again. I felt bad about the clothes as it is, I'm not letting him pay for this shit too. I heard Hitoshi start to protest but by the time he realized what had happened the transaction was already completed and the cashier handed me the bag.
As we were leaving the store Hitoshi gently punched my arm, "I was gonna pay for that you know."
"Yeah, and I didn't want you to. You payed for one store I payed for the other. It's fair that way." I replied, taking his hand in mine. I heard Hitoshi sigh but he didn't push any farther, just continued walking. As we were walking to the exit I heard my phone ring. I sighed and let Hitoshi's hand go, reaching into my hoodie pocket to grab my phone. I looked at the screen and saw my old hag's contact, already dreading this conversation. "Hello?"
"Katsuki! I know you're on break and spending time with that boyfriend of yours but I wanted you to come spend the weekend with me and your father. Bring your boyfriend, we want to meet him."
"I-" I started, but she already hung up. Great, now there's no getting out of this. I put my phone in my pocket, leaving my hand there and resting it against my abdomen as I felt the brat move. I gathered my thoughts and looked up at Hitoshi, a small smile on my face, "Hey, so, how would you like to spend the weekend with me at my parents'?"
