Final Day

A couple weeks pass and today is my last day of work. I've been eagerly awaiting this day simply because working has been a fucking nightmare these last couple weeks. With Saeko only getting more active and my temper only getting worse it's been really hard for me to make it through the day without wanting to punch somebody. Going home to Hitoshi after work has quite literally been the highlight of my days after work, it's the only thing that made me feel any kind of happiness on work days.
Today wasn't really much different except for the fact that I knew that I'd have a few months off. I was fairly sluggish getting dressed and Hitoshi practically had to drag me out of the bathroom to make me eat and actually go to work. On the ride over to work, though it wasn't a very long one, I was completely out of it, only staring into the abyss and dreading the next 6 hours of my life.
When we pulled up to the shop Hitoshi looked over and grabbed onto my hand before I got out, giving me a soft smile as he rubbed his thumb on the back on my hand. "You've got this, after today you'll be home with me for a while and don't have to come here for a bit."
"Save the encouraging shit for my break, I can already tell that today's gonna be shitty. I can feel it."
"Text me on your break then, I'll be more than happy to try and help you get through today." Hitoshi said before pulling me into a kiss and letting me get into the shop.
As I was clocking in Mina ran up and threw her arms around me, "Katsukiiiii why didn't you tell me it was your last day today? I would've brought in a goodbye present."
I sighed, "It's my last day for like, 3 months or something, I'll be back eventually." I replied, attempting to walk away.
"Why are you leaving though? It's going to be lonely without you." Mina pouted.
"Don't worry about it, go onto the floor while I go get ready. There's a line forming." I said, ushering Mina away. She listened and I went over to my locker to throw on my apron and head to the drink station to start making orders.
Today's shift was surprisingly going better than I had expected. All of the customers had been fairly easy and there have been zero complaints so far. I of course found this weird but held out hope that everything would be fine. This of course, did not happen.
About 30 minutes before I went on break I was still on drinks, going through the orders like usual when Mina came to the back, a slightly worried look on her face. "Hey Katsuki? Someone up here wants to talk to you."
I sighed but finished up what I was doing before I went out to the front, finding a middle aged woman in the pick up area, her arms crossed. "Are you the one that made this drink?" She asked.
"I am, what's wrong with it?"
"It's all wrong! I asked for a caramel latte and this is the most sorry excuse for a latte I've ever seen!" She spat, pushing the drink towards me.
"It looks like a latte to me." I replied, completely over this woman's bullshit.
"It has coffee in it! A latte is milk! Why would you add coffee to a latte??"
I took a deep breath, attempting not to blow up on her, "Ma'am, a latte is a drink where we add espresso to steamed milk. If you order a latte then there's going to be espresso in it."
"You're wrong, a latte is a drink made with hot milk, that's it. Why would they hire someone who doesn't even know that. Remake it."
"I'll remake it if you pay for it. I'm not remaking something for free when I made it correctly." I replied starting to walk away. As I was walking to the back I heard something crash against the wall. I looked back to see the latte splattered all over the wall and floor, "Did you just try to fucking throw that at me?"
The lady had a smug look on her face, "And what if I did? What're you gonna do about it fatass? Make me another drink."
"Oh you're so fucking dead. I'll make you another drink alright, I'll make you a drink out of your own fucking blood you entitled little bitch!" I spat, charging towards her only to be held back.
"Katsuki, relax. Go to the back and take your break early, I'll go get the manager and we'll deal with this." Mina said before letting me go. I scoffed before walking into the break room, my blood still boiling.
"Who the fuck do these people think they are? I'm seriously gonna lose my shit." I said to myself, as I sat down at the break table, gripping my hair as I put my elbows on the table. I placed a hand on my abdomen as I felt Saeko kick me square in the ribs, a hell of a lot harder than usual, "You're not fucking helping right now kid."
I didn't end up texting Hitoshi during my break, I spent the whole time trying to calm myself down so I didn't blow up on another fucking customer. When I returned to the floor Mina stuck me on drinks and insisted that I stayed there for the rest of my shift. I had no complaints about this as I was in zero mood to deal with any more people and their stupidity.
I felt instant relief when I looked over and saw Hitoshi walk into the shop, telling me that my shift was almost over. I finished up whatever drinks I had lined up and then told Mina that I was clocking out, refusing to be here a moment longer. I went to the back, did all the shit I had to do, then went out to meet Toshi. Before he could say a word I grabbed his hand and pulled him out the door, not wanting to be there a singular second longer. "You alright?" Hitoshi asked, still letting me drag him to the car.
"I just want to go home, I can't stand being here any longer." I replied. Hitoshi didn't say anything else, he just loaded into the car when we got there and took us back to my dorm.
When we got back I went straight to my room, going to shower and change so I can relax for the rest of the night. Once I finished I saw Hitoshi sitting on my bed. I walked over and sat next to him, retsting my head on his shoulder. "So, I'm assuming that today didn't go as well as you hoped?" Hitoshi asked, putting an arm around me.
I laughed, "Oh, you have no fucking clue."
